"Let's go." Adrian dragged him excitedly after he exited the car, tugging on his sleeves.

Lucas followed the kid's lead as he carefully walked to the familiar house. Adrian had been nagging him to bring him to visit Savannah's house. He couldn't help but give in to the little boy's endless chattering.

He knocked to the tightly closed house. For a moment doubting whether there were people in the house or not. He waited. When none was answering, he knocked once again.

The one opening the door wasn't Savannah as he someho expeted her to be. It was an old lady with hair fully white. A kind expression on her face as she regarded Lucas with a surprised look.

After a moment, he noticed Adrian who was anxiously hanging on Lucas's arm. She smiled kindly at the little boy.

"Are you coming here to visit Amara? I heard from Janette that Amara has gotten a friend lately." She then moved her attention to Lucas. "And who is this gentleman? Are you the kid's father?"

Lucas was a bit taken aback by her warm welcome. He guessed that the old lady didn't really know who he was and what happened back then. If she did, she probably wouldn't even smile at him like that.

Lucas gave her a polite smile and replied. "I am this boy's uncle, Madam. I am here to bring him to visit his friend."

"Ah, let's go in then. I will make you two a tea." The old lady said while opening the door wider. She entered the house, gesturing the both of them to follow her.

Lucas followed her, slightly anxious for no reason. He had put Adrian down so that he can walk on his own.

"Sit, make yourself comfortable." The grandma said. "Unfortunately the kid and both her mother is sleeping right now."

The old lady disappeared to the kitchen.

Savannah was sick. Lucas had known that since she had taken a leave for today. That was also why the grandma who was usually absent had decided to come back home today.

Now that the grandma was the one to entertain him, Lucas felt a bit awkward. He also somehow couldn't help the sudden expectation and relief, they mixed into one, creating an indescribable feeling. Yet, he was still disappointed slightly.

"Here, have some tea." The grandma came back after a few moments. The quiet Adrian perked up, he accepted the cup of the tea politely as Lucas did. He copied his uncle's mannerisms.

The grandma opened the curtains to let some light into the house. Then, she sat across the two.

Lucas took a sip as not to waste the old lady's hard work, feeling the slightly bitter taste into his tongue slowly being washed away.

"What's this little boy's name? He seemed to be in the same age as Amara." The grandma broke the silence.

"My name is Adrian." The boy answered quickly when the old lady asked for his name.

"What a smart boy." The grandma smiled. "Amara is such a shy kid. It's good that she is getting a friend now. Very much like Savannah when she was little."

Lucas's ear perked up slightly at the mention of Savannah.

"Ah, how did the two kids met?" The grandma asked curiously.

Lucas was hesitating how to answer it, but he finally decided to inform her of his relation with Savannah.

"I am the leader of the company which Miss Easton is currently working at." Lucas hadn't noticed that he had bitten his lips. "The two met when we accidentally encounter each other outside. They seemed to get along pretty well after that."
