Eddowes, fellow prostitute Mary Kelly, and friend Emily Birrell, took time off to head to Kent to "Hop-pick", (Picking flowers in gardens), while they weren't "applying their trade", on the cobbled, dirty. bloody streets of Whitechapel and the scary East End of London town.
