The Date

"He's going to reject me." I say to Luana while dropping my face in my hands.

"I doubt he would take you to dinner just to reject you Alora, stop being dramatic and get dressed."

"He's been giving me mixed signals lately and I just know that he's gonna reject me today. I mean why wouldn't he, I haven't exactly been the best to him. I left him for four years while he was looking for me, he even got in a car accident and had to get physical therapy because of me, everyday he sees me he's gonna be reminded of what I did and his accident. Ugh, I'm so selfish, I don't deserve to be with him after everything. I give up, I'm not going. He's gonna fire me then reject me. I ca-" Luana cut off my rambling.

"Alora I love you very much, but I'm about to slap you. Ever since you found out the truth you've been blaming yourself and putting yourself down. It happened already and it's been almost five years. Yes, you didn't make the right decision by fleeing but if you didn't, you wouldn't have met your perfect best friend." She says trying to make me laugh. It worked. "Alora that man adores you, we all see it. And you're not a bad person, so stop acting like you are. I don't think he would've invited you to dinner if he's going to reject you and if he is then at least show up hot so he can see what he's missing."

"Thanks for that Lou," I said walking up to her and giving her a hug. She happily hugs me back until I feel her hand slide to my ass. "I don't think you can handle all this ass girl." She gives me a knowing look and I laugh.

Luana helped me get ready for the dinner with Ronan. She helped me with my makeup and I'm grateful for it because I don't know the first thing about makeup. I'm dressed in a black fitted dress that goes a tad bit below the knees. I paired it with white heels and put my hair in a high ponytail and left two streaks of hair in the front on each side.

"Okaaayyy I look great, thank you Lou."

"You're welcome bubba," She says snapping a quick picture of me.

The bell rang directly at 8:00pm. I opened the door and saw Ronan standing there with flowers in his hands.

He kept staring at me and didn't say anything.

"Ronan hi, are those for me?"

"Uh yea sorry, you look really beautiful Alora." He said scratching the back of his neck and handing me the flowers.

"Thank you, and thanks for these. They're beautiful." Just then Lou pops her head out.

"Hi Ronan. I'll take these, I'm gonna put them in some water. You guys go to your dinner. Have fun!" She says and winks at me.

"Hey Luana, and thanks." Ronan replies.

He holds my hands as we descend the steps. When we reached the last step he leaned over and kissed my forehead. I started to feel a little better about the direction tonight is gonna go.
