Hearing her little brother’s bright and clear voice, Ji Qingqing asked, “And so?”

“This company is very sneaky. I bet the police can't do anything about them. I’m worried that if I report it, not only will nothing happen, the company will also get rid of me.”

Ji Qingqing hadn’t even finished listening to the message when another voice message got sent over.

“Sis, if something bad happens to me, don't avenge me. Go far away and escape this whole conspiracy. You must live well!”

Ji Qingqing: …This convenient brother seemed to still have a slight middle school syndrome that wasn't cured.

“Alright, you won't get killed. Send the address to me. I’ll accompany you to the police.”

Immediately, an address was sent over.

Ji Qingqing drove out and spent around 30 minutes to arrive at the destination. After waiting for a while, she saw a young man dressed neatly and freshly. He was carrying a bag and running towards her. When he opened the car door, the entire car was filled with a burst of sunshine.

“Sis, you’re finally here. I’ve already reported it to the police!”

Nearby was a police station.

Ji Qingqing studied her convenient brother. His skin was white and clear and from up-close, he looked 1.8 meters tall. His facial features hadn't fully developed and after his expression calmed down, they looked slightly childish. He sat there at the passenger seat with his legs curled up in a sulky manner. With that ignorant appearance of a young boy, he would have been the crush of an untold number of girls in school.

Having such a sunny and handsome appearance of a young boy, it was very hard to believe that he was the person wailing in the voice messages.

It was also very hard to imagine that he was a child that Ji Qingqing’s parents had brought up.

“But Dad and Mom both said they’re breaking ties with me. They even said that I’m not allowed to return home. If not, they’ll break my legs. Sis, I don’t have anywhere to go.”

With a sunshine boy looking pitifully at you just like a small puppy, it really makes it difficult for one to reject him.

“Aren’t you staying at school?”

“In two days, it’ll be the winter holidays so the school won’t allow anyone to stay.”

Ji Qingqing pondered for a bit. “Alright then, my apartment still has two rooms. I’ll send you there first and you can stay there for a couple of days.”

“Ok!”

Ji Qingqing drove her car to her apartment located in the city center. Upon reaching, she brought him upstairs and handed him the keys. “Go familiarize yourself with the house. If you need anything else give me a call.”

The convenient little brother refused to let her go. “Sis, this is your house. Where are you staying?”

“I… you are a grown man… ”Ji Qingqing hesitated.

“We are both biological siblings. There’s no need for us to avoid each other, right? Furthermore, this place has more than one room.”

Ji Qingqing pondered. Her original plan was to clean up her house, but she never had the chance. Since she was already here today, why not make use of the opportunity to tidy up some of her daily necessities.
