Dervil "Dev"

Silently she walked behind her brother as he carried Lia into her apartment.  What could she say after what Hugo had told her over the phone.  With Finn and two others behind her Dev stepped to the side to let them pass.  It gave her a moment to take in her cousins space.

"Hugo, take her up.  I'll be there in a minute" Dev instructed going to the bathroom for a wash cloth and soap.  In the kitchen she found a salad bowl and filled it with warm water.  Then with a deep breath she headed up to do what needed to be done.

They'd been close as kids, Dev and Lia.  It was the way it was in their family.  Those close in age usually stuck together.  So when she'd gone missing Dervil had grieved.  She'd accepted the loss only to be told Lia hadn't died.  No she'd been....well she hadn't died.  And that was something they had in common.

"I got her.  Go" she ordered going to the nightstand to put down the bowl of water.  When she turned Liam Black still stood there looking at Lia laying on the bed.  "She's already been stripped emotional bare today.  Give her privacy now" Dervil hissed at the man not caring if she was being a bitch.  Watching him leave she took another deep breath before turning to the women on the bed.

Stripping off her clothes Dervil covered her with a sheet just in case she came too.  She pushed back tears seeing the scars on her arms, stomach and upper thighs.  Self inflicted to cope with what she'd been through.  Dervil carried her own.

"Lia love, I don't know the extent of what you lived through.  But I know....we're are stronger than what men do to us.  Rest.  I got you back love" she murmered as she washed away the blood and sweat.   Then finding track pants and a large hoody Dervil redressed her cousin.

"She'll apreciate this dear" a women interupted her thoughts as she stepped into the space.  Older, mid fourties wearing a suite and carring a briefcase.  Guessing it was the shrink Hugo spoke of Dervil nodded but staying seated beside Lia.

"Your cousin said you were only months away from your own degree in phycology.  That you hold your own personal experience with what Lia's been through.  Do you understand the base behind how she's been treated with hypnotherapy" the women questioned as she took out a lap top and set it on the end of the bed.

"Trauma blockers or keys subconsiously place through sleep hypnosis.  Allows the patient to disassociate act from the emotional trauma.  Like Lia though it can sometimes bleed out and cause emotional disassociation when the patient is awake.  Usually triggered by stress and more trauma." Dervil quietly answered and already knew that coming home had triggered this.  Even that she could understand.

"Yes.  I'm just going to reset your cousins keys and look to see if other trauma's helped trigger this episode.  If they did then new keys can be put into place.  You can stay and silently observe as I know it's not normal practice." the women detailed then motioned that she needed Dervil to shift out of the way.

Standing at the end of the bed she watched as the doctor was able to pull Lia's subconsious self forward with easy.  Heard as they detailed over the past trauma and how it triggered the new with Alexei. Watched as the women put a new key in its place.

"Lia do you remember the last time we talked" the doc questioned

"Aye.  I'd just gotten her back." Lia's voice answered at almost a whisper

"Who did you get back?" the women questioned her eyes now shifting to meet Dervils gaze.  The look in them unsettling.

"Dervil.  She was lost.  I found her.  Killed the demons" Lia murmered and had her chest tightenning knowing what she refered too. "I didn't forget them" Lia added with almost a wimper and sparked Dervils temper.  Knowing what the women was doing and hated that she'd been used to trace another trauma.  She also knew after watching how to heal the sacrafice her cousin had made for her.

"Li Li. You saved me and killed my demons.  I'm safe now.  I'm here love.  I know the fog and shaddows.  Be at peace" Dervil told her cousin then spun and left the room.  She couldn't be here when Lia woke up.  Not so soon after and knowing it wasn't the family that triggered this but seeing her.

"Dev" Hugo questioned before coming to wrap her in a hug

"Hugo.  The demon needs to die" she told him quietly then pulled back to look up at her brothers set strong face.

"Already in motion.  It was her wasn't it" he questioned already knowing the answer.

Two years ago she'd been taken while stopped at a red light.  Fourty eight hours she'd lived in hell.  Then she'd woken to see her captors and demons dead around her and a shaddow slipping away.  Next she'd woken it was to her father kneeling beside her.  The person the family had called the gaurdian angel was Lia.

"Is it true?" Hugo questioned looking to a man seated on the couch with Lia's fiancee Liam.

"Aye.  She kept her distance but always had me watching.  Lia even called in Blake and allowed him to assist her.  After she had a rough patch but said it was worth it.  It was Dr. Hunt who gave us Dr.  Colins name for you once ready to deal with your own demons"  the man explained slowly rising then offered his hand to shake and his name, Quinn.

"Q is who our Lia has been working with since she got away.  We discovered the connection only recently.  And nothing was mention about this" Hugo explained shooting the man another hard look as he rubbed Dervil's upper arms.

"Call if i'm needed.  But only after she's awake and knows I'm coming.  I was part of the trigger" Dervil quietly explained then headed for the door.  She needed her own time.  Time to make her own call so she didn't relapse.  Needed to be strong for Lia.  Her cousin had saved her.
