We landed in the site of a derelict building that was already in smoke. I jumped out and ran inside.
"Why did you say that name?! Martha! Why did you say that name!" I heard the voice of Bruce Wayne. and that he was on the verge of actually killing Clark." I reacted I took out two arrows and fired them in-between and sent a shockwave through his suit shortcutting it. He fell backwards. I ran over and dropped to Clarks side.
"Why did you say that name." he grunted
"It's his mothers name you son of a bitch. Martha is the name of his mother." I yelled at him then turned my attention back to Clark. Bruce pulled himself up and threw the kryptonite weapon away. I helped Clark to sit up.
"Luthor, he wanted your life, for hers. She's loosing time." Clark added as we stood up and I held onto him
"And the scout ship seems to be drawing power from the city, it's building up by the minute. I had Lex written all over it." I continue
"They need you at that ship. I'll find her." Bruce promised
"My mother needs me." Clark grunted going to leave but Bruce stopped him
"I'll make you a promise. Martha won't die tonight."
"Your not going alone. I wouldn't trust you as far as I could throw you. And I mean that as the worst insult." I scowl at him
"It's not safe." Clark grunted and I held his face
"I'm in love with you, when is anything I ever do safe? Go, and come back to me." He floated away and i followed Bruce into his bat mobile
"Alfred." he grunted and then Alfred must have replied because we flew away. "Yes, I have a very pissed off Aria Astrid with me. he handed me a ear piece
"So where did you get the get up, some powerful arrows you got there." he wondered
"I have a friend who I actually like, he has a thing for arrows and gave them to me. Turns out he can't stand you either." i retort. We arrived at an abandoned where house, it was obvious we were at the right place because they started shooting at us. We circled around.
"You have to take it Alfred." Bruce stated
"Ah right, commencing drone mode. Thermal imaging is showing me two dozen hostiles on the third floor. Why don't I drop the two of you off on the second." Alfred suggested
"As long as your a better flyer, you can Alfred." i comment
"Better flyer and more of a gentleman miss Astrid." he answered
"Now that I can believe" I smirk and Bruce cleared his throat. I turned my head towards him
"A harness for you." he hands did over and we got out. He jumped first breaking the window and i followed in after then removed the harness. I removed and arrow and aimed it up, that was the premise of the whole fight went in first and I was back up firing my arrows, taking them out to be reused and fighting. I shot four arrows into four men who were shooting at Wayne. he gave me a nod.
"Go get Martha. Use these" he threw two explosive devices at me and I caught them.
"Alfred, your eyesight please." I breathe
"Turn to your left, Mrs Kent is behind that wall." he told me and I placed the devices in place then took cover
"Blow!" I order and he did a hole was created and I ran in and fought the two goons inside then took my last arrow out.
"Drop it. I said drop it!" he yells "I'll kill her! Believe me I'll do it!" I felt Wayne behind me
"I believe you." I aimed my arrow at the gas line and fired. I jumped out of the way as Wayne jumped in and covered Martha. There was an explosion once it calmed down I came out and into the burnt room.
"It's okay i'm a friend of your sons." Wayne promised
"I figured." Martha breathed
"Is he ballocks, he just almost killed Clark. Get off her you great ape." Wayne stood up and I held my hand out to Martha.
"Nice shot." she smiled
"Thanks." Bruce was bathed though to Luthors phone
"Hello, break the bad news." Luthor's voice came over our comms as I held onto Martha.
"I'd rather do the breaking in person." Wayne answered back looking towards us.
"Why don't you do us all a favour and make yourself useful, I've got it here." I sass back he grunts and leaves.
"So a friend or foe?" Martha wondered as I help her out.
"He tried to kill Clark then didn't want to kill him and now I have no clue." I answer as we exit the building i saw the flashes of lightning stop.
"Miss Astrid, I'm having a car sent to your location, to bring you back to safe quarters." Alfred let me know
"What's going on with the others?" I question
"Where to start." he breathed
