There's Joy on Earth

Your eyes don't fall to Earth, you float,
Not walk, your laughter rising high,
To heaven, flesh, and blood, you are,
So why? Why fly so high? Perhaps,

You'll fall to safety, keeping hurt,
At bay, the Earth, your home, the sea,
Your bed, the clouds, your roof, you know,
While standing still, you could be all.

What do you think? Are you reminded of anything?

I don't want to say my thoughts cause I've noticed some of you trying to find the 'right interpretations' and I don't write poetry for those reasons.

The way we interpret things says a good deal about ourselves, so I think it's interesting to see what you come up with at first. 😁.

I was struggling with what to write about, so I went to my poetry notebook and searched for a line to inspire myself. I occasionally write sentences that I think would make good full-fledged poems, if explored more.

I think I've begun to deviate from the title of this book, so do you have any ideas for a better title?

Anyway, I hope you're doing alright, and if you aren't, I'm sending you a virtual hug.
