You hum, walking down the streets of your beloved city.
Next to you, Eddie silently watches as you walk.
He's been...starring and awful long time.

"Is something up?" You ask.

"What about?"

He stays silent.
You feel your heart flutter as his cheeks turn red.

"Well, I uh-
I just think if we, y'know, stay with ya..
Maybe we could do something to help out!"

"Well, you could start by getting that stain off my bed." You joke.

His face blurts bright red, even more so than before.
You had mentioned the stain earlier, but it apparently didn't process.

There's a breakfast place!!" He says, rushing you both inside.

It isn't terribly fancy but it's definitely far from a place you could afford.
He notices your eyes widen at the sight of the prices.

'Least I can do for screwing up your bed and kitchen."

The waiter seems almost flustered by his comment.
You think nothing of it and order, but you can tell Eddie is nervously.

"Is something wrong?"

Well, if we're going to be staying together, we should certainly get to know each other more!"

"That's fair.

You snicker.

You thank him and continue.

"I like playing video games, scrolling through social media, and tinkering."

You nod.

"Well, due to...someone.
I like swinging around the area, dealin' with bad guys, and uh-..."

"Eating 'em?"

He nods, chuckling.

"That doesn't bug ya?"

"I can't say it doesn't.

"What's your favorite?"

You answer, a little embarrassed to say.

You both keep talking until your food arrives.
Eddie's plate is significantly larger than yours.
Surprisingly, he eats it all like a vacuum!
You chuckle, a joke about his portions coming to your mind.
You don't say it though.
It's only your real first date with him after all.
Wouldn't want to chase him away with your dull humor!

"What's so funny?" He asks, raising a brow.

"Oh!
Nothing."

He smiles like he doesn't believe you but doesn't bother asking more questions.
