A Reason To Go On

Chapter 1

7 Months Earlier

The sun is shining in through my window, i attempt to block it out by putting my pillow over my head "Alexia its time to get up" I hear my mum shout, "5 more minutes" is my muffled reply.

Just as I'm drifting back of to sleep, my mum enters my room and i feel the pillow im gripping being torn out of my hands, i turn over in bed to see my mums smiling face looking down at me "Came on sleepy head, Ive made you breakfast and you have work, its your last day today before you return back to school for your senior year" she tells me. I smile up at her, and allow myself to daydream over the fact that tomorrow is going to be the start of my senior year, and i cant wait.

Climbing out of bed, i hop in the shower quickly, getting out with my towel securely wrapped around me, i run the brush through my long brown hair, normally i leave it down to cover my face, i don't like to attract attention, and normally my hair is my shield. Today however i decide to do it in a side braid, i walk into my closet and grab some jeans and a hoodie, dressing quickly i head downstairs.

I can smell the pancakes mum has made for me as soon as i open my bedroom door, heading into the kitchen my mum places my breakfast infront of me and i hugrily dig in, i make small talk with mum while finishing and then placing a quick kiss on her cheek i head for the door and start walking to work.

I got a job in the Alpha's office over the summer, normally his wife, our Luna would help in the office but as their son Jayden hasn't found his mate yet, the Alpha sent his wife and son to different packs hoping to find our future Luna. Personally i didn't see the point, Jayden is the biggest player in our school, and i pitied his poor mate, but i keep those thoughts to myself, you see Alpha Raoul believes Jayden is still a virgin and waiting for his mate, and im not going to tell him that the only first Jayden is waiting for is a sexually transmitted infection.
