Not as bad

Chapter 6

Shadow woke up slowly sitting up in his bed looking at the alarm clock on his side table '7:34' he got off his bed and walked out of his room heading downstairs, as he went to the kitchen he saw sonic rolled up into a ball hiding under the covers halfway still sleeping on his couch he had nearly forgotten that sonic was here. He walked over to the sleeping hedgehog and covered up the rest of his body back up with the blanket and went to the kitchen and ended up making him and sonic breakfast the ultimate life form didnt really need to eat but he still did it sometimes

Once shadow was done making him and sonic pancakes with eggs he made himself a cup of coffee, as sonic started to wake up from the delicious smell he sat up from the couch leaning on the armrest still half asleep he yawned one more time and started stretching his arms a bit as soon as sonic started to wake up he saw shadow coming towards him with a plate of eggs and pancakes and a bottle of syrup "morning shadow" sonic said as shadow hands him the plate and syrup sonic then pours almost half the bottle of syrup on the pancakes and gets a weird stare from shadow "gross, faker" shadow said getting a little laugh from sonic and putting the syrup on the coffee table shadow then goes back to the kitchen to get his food. 

Shadow comes back from the kitchen with a cup of coffee and  his breakfast and sites next to sonic and starts eating slowly meanwhile sonic is eating a bit more faster than shadow getting syrup all over his lips making shadow smile a bit because of how messy sonic really is

Once sonic took the last bite of his food shadow shadow took all the dishes and set them in the sink and came back with a small packet of wipes sonic was still sitting there he had tried to get the syrup off himself but failed since some was still on his face once shadow sat down once again he grabbed a wet wipe out of the packet

And leaned closer to sonic their faces only a few inches away from each other sonic didn't know what to do so he just sat there as shadow wiped his face for him treating him like a child, sonic couldn't help but blush a bit because of the shadow was taking care if him.  

Shadow  backed away when he finished wiping the azure hedgehogs mouth he saw how embarrassed the hedgehog next to him was and he couldn't help but smirk at the blue ones actions, so he wanted to tease him some more

Shadow leaned in again but this time their noses where practically touching while both of shadows hands were leaning agains the hand rest pinning sonic down, sonic was nervous his heart kept beating faster and faster uncontrollably and so was shadows. Shadow started leaning some more nearly kissing sonic

*Knock knock*

Someone was at the door, shadow pulled away from sonic before they're lips could touch shadow got up from the couch freeing sonic. Shadow opened the door welcoming who was there with a cold look, he then saw a two tailed fox with a pink hedgehog standing next to him they both shivered when they saw the angry ebony hedgehog but despite him being annoyed he still let them in, when they came in he closed the door behind them as they scurried to greet sonic trying to avoid shadow since anyone could tell he wasn't happy and shadow avoided them too he didn't want to talk to them especially the pink one.

So to wast time he went to the kitchen to clean the dishes from breakfast, while shadow was doing that the two where talking to sonic who was still a little flustered but he too was a little annoyed with his friends but he couldn't say that "hey whats up with shadow?" The two tailed fox asked "yeah whats wrong with him! He's so rude" the pink hedgehog said "nothing is wrong with him he just didnt know you were coming like i didnt know you were coming" "im sorry sonic its just" tails said getting closer to sonic trying to whisper in his ear so amy doesn't hear "amy really wanted to come and once she found out she knew where i was she threatened to throw away my tools unless she took me to you" tails said looking back at amy to see if she heard but she was just sitting there confused watching them whisper to each other

"Are you talking about me im right here you know!" But they just ignored her and kept talking "so whats really wrong with shadow and you?" "Me?" "Yeah your acting a little weird" tails said reading the room "oh uh, can we talk about this in private?" Sonic said a little nervous about the question "huh does that mean i have to leave?" Amy asked "well I'd leave with tails but i cant really do that right now" sonic said "hmph fine ill just go in the kitchen with shadow!" And with that amy stormed off "so what is it?" Tails asked as soon as amy was out of earshot, but sonic didn't answer immediately he couldn't find the correct words to explain

"Its just shadow..." sonic said pulling tails ear closer so he doesnt say it too loudly "he nearly..kissed me" sonic said quickly covering his face with the blanket in embarrassment as tails just sat there dumbfounded 'he nearly what!' "Is that why hes so grumpy! We interrupted!"-  Tails said loudly almost yelling but sonic quickly covered tails mouth before he could say anything else "yes yes so stop yelling!" Sonic said whispering blushing madly

Then a develiish smirk crosses tails face "oohh your embarrassed, you like him!"tails said also whispering as he smacked sonics hand off his mouth "no i dont its his fault im like this if he hadnt- ugh!" Sonic said hiding under the cover again, tails couldn't stop laughing he even started to shes tears "well maybe i should grab amy so you and your boyfriend can have some alone time~" "no please dont!"- "oh ammyy, we should get going now" tails said getting amy to come over back to the living room "aww but i wanted to spend time more time with sonic!" "Amy its getting dark and the news said it would snow tonight we shouldn't stay long"tails said trying to persuade the stubborn hedgehog "aw i guess your right" amy said a bit disappointed "well bye sonic" amy said almost hugging sonic to death

Shadow also walked out of the kitchen when he realized they were finally leaving he was especially glad that amy was leaving, the whole time they were in the kitchen all she would talk about is how much she loves sonic

Before shadow could show them to the door tails hurried out with amy following behind before tails closed the door he just had to tease "make sure you use safety~" tails said and winked at sonic and left.
