MEAVE'S POV

It's monday and I'm here at the cafe near the University. I ate my breakfast before I got here, I just had my cravings. I ordered Cappuccino and a Jiggly Japanese Cheesecake.

While waiting to my order, my phone beep signaling that I have received a text from someone.

From: Ugly Mushroom
-Nasaan ka?

She's asking me where am I. Ano na naman kayang kailangan ng babaeng 'to?

To: Ugly Mushroom
-Why?

I just don't want her here. For me to have some peace while having my morning cravings.

From: Ugly Mushroom
-Puntahan kita.

Maybe she's bored again. She'll just going to annoy me here.

To: Ugly Mushroom
-Why?

From: Ugly Mushroom
-Ano ba?! Puro ka why!!!

I just rolled my eyes and diverted my attention to the waiter who's assigned to give to me my order.

"Buuuuzzzzzzzzzzzz...buuuuzzzzzzzzzzzz..."

Ugly Mushroom calling...

Ano na naman ba kailangan neto? Hindi ko n kase sya ni-reply-an kanina.

Sinagot ko nalang baka masampal ko 'to kapag nakita ko.

["Woiii, bakit hindi mo ako nire-reply-an?!"] Naningkit ang paningin ko sa kawalan kasabay ng pag-ikot ko ng mata ko. Bumuntong hininga muna ako bago sya tanungin.

"Ano ba kailangan mo?" Tanong ko.

["Nasaan ka?"]

"Why?" I ask boredly

["Pupuntahan nga sabi kita!"] She said in annoyance.

"Why?"

["Ano ba?! Kanina ka pa ah! Puro ka why-ashysjdjdg.."]

"When I'm away from you,
I'm happier than ever
Wish I could explain it better
I wish it wasn't true"

Someone interrupted by singing out of nowhere. The voice was so cold yet so calm. The song was from Billie Eilish. Happier Than Ever.

"Give me a day or two to think of something clever
To write myself a letter
To tell me what to do, mm-mmm"

The whole cafe was so quiet and feeling the song singing by the mysterious singer.

"Do you read my interviews?
Or do you skip my avenue? (My avenue)
When you (when you) said you were passing through
Was I even on your way?
I knew when I asked you to (when I asked you to)

Be cool about what I was telling you
You'd do the opposite of what you said you'd do (what you said you'd do)
And I'd end up more afraid"
