Stefan was the first to wake up in the small group that was formed in the library that day.

He was a little disoriented. He felt something oozing out of his ears and reached up to feel it.

Blood.

Blood was dripping from his ears and he didn't know why.

His face held confusion as he looked around his surroundings.

Books were on the floor, the ground had splits. The splits weren't deep but they were there.

He saw Klaus and his daughter laying on the floor, both bleeding from their noses.

Hope also had blood coming from her eyes, which scared Stefan.

She was a kid and had blood coming from somewhere it shouldn't be.

He kept moving his head until he saw his girlfriend laying on the floor.

Lifeless.

Face first into the floor.

Back towards him.

He used his vampire speed to go over to her but when he flipped her over he scooted back with a bit of fear.

She looked pale.

Her eyes were wide open but pitch black, no pupils at all.

Blood running down from every open crevice on her face.

Mouth, Nose, Eyes, ears, and a cut on her forehead.

Her eyes were what scared Stefan the most, although they were pitch black, it looked like blood inside of them. Like someone had popped her eyeballs and the blood was oozing from the center of them.

There were black and blue veins outlining her face.

Not just any color blue though, a vibrant blue. It almost looked magical.

The two colors weren't mixing together but seemed to be friendly judging by how the two colors stayed together, side by side. Over taking her blood stream.

He picked her up and gently laid her on his lap. He was confused and scared, he had a right to be.

He picked up her hand to hold it and came to find her fingers pitch black.

He didn't know what was happening to the woman he was in love with but he needed to help her.

Yet, he was completely clueless and useless. He didn't know much about magic, he didn't know anything about it really. Only the history of it because he lived through it.

He needed someone to help, someone who understood everything about it.

Who was he supposed to ask?

He was the only one awake in the school, so the twins couldn't help.

Dorian was away on a business trip.

Alaric was knocked out.

He didn't think Klaus would help much, neither would his family, without some kind of price.

Which at the moment he would do just about anything for the girl in his arms right now.

He traded his life and loyalty to Klaus for a summer for his brother's life before.

If he needed to do the same for his love he wouldn't hesitate.

He just needed a witch. He knew Klaus had family members as witches, his daughter and sister.

Even Kol's wife.

He would have to.

He didn't know any witches.

His brain stopped his rant when he thought of witches.

He did know a witch. He just didn't know if she would help him. Not after what he did to her.

He would have to try though.

He needed her help.

He needed the only witch that he knew.

It was a good thing Bonnie Bennet was back in Mystic Falls.

Stefan had taken Aspen to his room and immediately called Bonnie.

I mean to say he tried to call Bonnie.

She didn't answer his phone calls.

He assumed she was knocked out like the rest of the supernatural's.

The school had started to wake up after a few hours and Alaric called Stefan immediately to see if he was alright and if he had seen any of his girls.

Stefan informed him of where he was and that he needed to get over to him as quickly as possible.

Alaric found the twins on the way to Stefan's room and all three went to check on their fourth family member.

They found an eerily quiet Stefan sitting on the bed with Aspen resting her head on his lap.

He had cleaned up the blood on her and closed her eyes.

To say the Saltzman trio were shocked and scared to see her like this was an understatement.

After Stefan explained the needed witches to understand what was happening to her the twins immediately ran to find whatever grimoires they needed.

It had been two days and nobody knew what was happening to Aspen.

It had been two days since Aspen's breakdown.

Two days since she hasn't woken up.

Both headmasters had tried to call Bonnie but she wouldn't return their calls.

So they tried other ways.

The twins sent letters to her, asking for help.

Alaric was talking to Caroline right now to see if she could get in contact with her and to tell her what was happening.

Caroline had gone up to New York having an interview with some new recruits so she didn't know what was happening in Mystic Falls. She had her phone off and couldn't answer for the past few days.

Imagine her surprise when she saw missed calls and text from the Twins, Stefan and Alaric.

"So you have talked to her?" Alaric asked Caroline, wanting to know if Bonnie had reached out to anybody.

"Well, yeah I talked to her because she's here with me. She's literally sitting across from me. Why?" Care asked through the phone. She was looking at Bon and they were both confused on why Alaric needed to get in contact with her.

"Care, its Aspen." Alaric sighed out. He didn't want to be the one to tell her, he knew they had friendship starting to bloom but didn't know each other that well.

But Caroline being that compassionate person she is, she would worry.

"What happened to Aspen?" Care asked worriedly. Bonnie saw the worry in her eyes and sat up in her seat to lean on the table ignorant of her.

"We don't know exactly but she's been unconscious for the past two days. We need a witch to come check on her." Alaric explained, looking at an impatient Stefan. He gave him a look and Stefan walked out of the room, not liking how slow this was going.

Alaric had told him to be patient and wait a day to see if she woke up.

Now they were on day two and she was still asleep.

At least he was hoping she was asleep.

"Alright, see you soon." Alaric hung up the phone.

"What did she say? Are they coming? Is Bonnie gonna help us?" He was spewing questions right after the other.

Alaric put his hands on his shoulders, trying to calm him down.

"They are leaving right now, Bonnie said she'll help, they'll be here in a couple of hours."

Stefan nodded his head. He took deep breaths trying to calm down.

He was worried and Alaric knew that. He just needed him to relax so he didn't stress anybody else out.
