Samadhi of Maharaja Yashwant Rao Holkar II is small in size and the entire construction is made of red stone. The pillars of Samadhi are small and the carvings on them & their double seamless pillar-construction are very attractive. There is a Shikhar on Samadhi and there is an idol of Maharaja Yashwant Rao Holkar II in Garbhagriha and there is a Shivling in front of it. The Samadhi is on a Chothra and the Chothra is small.
Briefly speaking about Maharaja Yashwant Rao Holkar II, Holkar State was merged with India during his time. The intercaste marriage of Dhangar Rajkumara and the Maratha Rajkumari is said, that Dhangar Rajkumara was Maharaja Yashwant Rao Holkar II.
After the death of Chhatrapati Shahu Maharaja of Kolhapur, Maharaja Tukoji Rao Holkar III- the 13th Raje of Holkar dynasty took up the responsibility of performing this unforgettable inter-caste marriage ceremony. This marriage was actually a "Saatelote" marriage. Maharaja Tukoji Rao Holkar III gave his daughter as daughter-in-law to Ghatge family at that time. Maharaja Tukoji Rao Holkar III died in the region in 1978 and was cremated in Chhatribagh (1st group). His Samadhi was not built.
