Nova had been given an option.
i) go home for Christmas.
ii) stay at Hogwarts. But attend the Annual Yule Ball.
Nova chose the latter.
Nova, Daphne, and America had chosen to stay at Hogwarts that year. Both had their reasons, the three best friends were currently in their shared dorm. Daphne had gone out for the night to Merlin knows where. And America had retired to her bed earlier, claiming that she was tired, but Nova knew better.
"Well, at least we know they are not doing something suspicious."
Nova, on the other hand, was flipping through the pages of a muggle novel. Her eyes occasionally glanced at the huge wall clock.
"Muggle Novel?!"
"Why are you asking it like that?" Sirius asked.
"She is a Black."
"So?"
"Doesn't she hate Muggles?"
When the clock struck eleven, Nova closed her book. Quickly donning a black outfit, she exited the Tower.
