"HONEYS, I'M HOME!" KAMAIA CALLED OUT as she waled into the apartment she shared with her two friends. Eden was the first to come towards her, running up and enveloping the taller girl in a big hug. "Okay I know I was gone for a bit, but it wasn't that long now," Kamaia chuckled.
"Please, you left me alone with a hangry, cranky Charlize. I was about to end it all before you walked in." Eden scoffed, helping Kamaia with the bags she brought in.
"Oh by the way, someone sent you something. I took it up to your room for you to open," Eden said with a little smirk, leaving Kamaia confused because she wasn't notified by anyone of them sending something to her.
Once she finished packing up the groceries, Kamaia made sure to take a glass of water and some ibuprofen to Charlize, as well as a hot water bottle for her.
Making the way to her room, she indeed found something on her bed. Turning on her light, she realised that it was a carefully selected bouquet of flowers, with a handwritten note attached to it.
Her heart swelled with adoration as she walked closer, picking up the flowers and holding them to her chest as she unfolded the note.

I'm sorry I've been the shittiest boyfriend-that's-not-your-boyfriend that you've ever had, I know I suck at a lot of stuff but for you, I'm always willing to improve on my mistakes. Truth is, I was jealous, I just didn't want to say it because I didn't know how you'd react. And believe me, I too would much rather be doing this face to face. It's not long until I see you though, so hopefully we'll be good by then. My mum says hi, by the way. I miss you, call me when you get this?

It was as if everything just began to fit in perfect place for Kamaia, the smile that she had never leaving her face as she took two pictures, one of just the flowers and one of her with the flowers, sending the second one to Jude and posting the other to her story, before calling her lover.
