pretty boy - the neighbourhood

April woke up to a text from Eden, asking if she wanted to grab breakfast before they had to leave for the next city. She couldn't help but smile as she replied with a yes. She got ready quickly and met him in the hotel lobby.

They found a nearby diner and ordered breakfast. As they ate, they talked about their interests and hobbies. April was surprised to learn that Eden was a musician himself, and he even played a few shows around town. She was impressed by his talent and his passion for music.

After a delicious breakfast, April and Eden walked back to the hotel, chatting and laughing along the way. As they said their goodbyes, Eden leaned in to give April a quick kiss on the cheek, making her blush. She couldn't deny the attraction she felt towards him.

Once back in the hotel room, April got ready for the day's journey on the tour bus. As they settled into their seats, April noticed Tom watching her closely. She felt a bit self-conscious under his gaze, wondering if he had figured out her attraction towards Eden.

Back on the tour bus, the band members were all chatting and catching up. April sat down next to Bill, and they started working on a new song together. As they bounced ideas off each other, April kept constantly checking her phone in hopes for a text from Eden.

As they worked, April's phone buzzed with a message from Eden.

Text Messages:

Eden: I can't wait to see you again.

April: Same here. I wish you could come with us on tour.

Eden: I know, but we can still keep in touch, right?

April: Definitely.

Eden: Good. Because I really want to get to know you better.

April: I want that too, Eden.

Eden: So, when can we see each other again?

April: I'm not sure yet, but I'll let you know as soon as I do.

Eden: Alright, sounds good. Take care, April.

April: You too, Eden.

She couldn't help but smile as she read it, but as she looked up, she saw Tom watching her with a strange expression on his face. She quickly looked away, feeling guilty for even entertaining thoughts of another man.

The rest of the day went by in a blur, with rehearsals and soundchecks taking up most of their time. But April couldn't shake the feeling that something was off between her and Tom. She knew that they had never been in a relationship, but she couldn't help but feel hurt by his earlier words.

As they finally settled into their bunks for the night, April couldn't help but feel a sense of loneliness. She missed Eden and the easy rapport they had built in such a short amount of time. And as she drifted off to sleep, she couldn't help but wonder what the future held for her and the band.

The band's show in the new city was a hit. April sang her heart out, and the audience was captivated by her voice. Tom kept looking over at her during the show, but she was so focused on her performance that she didn't even notice.
