Damon was on a phone call with his mother as he made himself some lunch,since he woke up just an hour ago. He loved updating his mom on what's going on in his life and she'd always come up with the best advice.
"Our next season starts August, going back on the field is kinda draining to even think about" Damon huffed as he cut up some onions
"Come on Son, don't let the break up affect your performance on the field,besides you have 4 more months before August, giving you time to heal mentally" his mother reassured him from the other side of the phone.
"Thanks Ma, healing is my main goal,I thought of befriending some girl I met at the Apple store" Damon smiled just at the thought of her
"That's great baby,I hope she isn't like that fraud Saline,she was just giving me bad energy" His mother sighed
"I don't think she'd be like that,I'll find out eventually,I hope we meet again" Damon shrugged as he finished up cooking his lunch
"The universe brings two opposites together, y'all will definitely meet again" His mother smiled

Damon was now chilling with his best friend Sage as they played some NBA 2K23. He really needed this after everything that happened through the week.
"Remember that girl I was talking about? She finally accepted to go on a date with me" Sage cheesed
"What's her name again?" Damon asked as he forgot his best friend told him about this girl many times before.
"Iris" Sage laughed as he paused the game
"You been bugging that girl bruh" Damon broke out laughing
"Cause a nigga feeling her,she got a cut friend too" Sage smirked as he nudged Damon's shoulder
"Mmcht,bruh you know ion want no relationship right now" Damon laughed slightly as he scrolled through insta
"I'm ain't saying you should date her nigga, just be her friend" Sage reasoned with his best friend
"What's shawty 's name?" Damon asked as he was ready to search her up
"Amori,her insta is JustAmori " Sage smiled as he took a handful of popcorn
Damon went ahead to search her up and eventually found her insta handle and he remembered her instantly from the mall.
