Today is the day. It marks a significant milestone for Rafe and me—it's our first-year anniversary, and I can hardly contain my excitement. I've poured months of effort into creating a scrapbook that captures all the cherished memories we've made together over the past year. I genuinely hope he appreciates it. Rafe has brought immense happiness into my life, and i love him so much

As I get dressed and ready for the day, I notice the absence of any morning messages from Rafe, which is quite unusual. Nonetheless, I finish preparing and decide to text him. Twenty minutes pass, but there's no response or indication that he has even seen my message. Puzzled, I sigh and make up my mind to go to his house. Perhaps he's still sleeping. Grabbing my purse and car keys, I step out the door, glancing at my phone once more, but there's still no update from him. After a fifteen-minute drive, I arrive at his house, spotting his car parked in the driveway. Clearly, he hasn't left, so he must be home.

Approaching the front door, I get a really awful gut feeling . Despite the gut feeling , I enter the house. I begin to walk inside, about to call out for Rafe, when I spot a pair of red high heels placed on the stairs. Worry starts to creep in, and I hastily ascend the stairs. Moving cautiously toward Rafe's room, I find his door also slightly open. Peeking through, I only see Rafe inside, causing a sense of relief to wash over me. I step into his room, intending to wake him up, when I hear the bathroom door open. Startled, I turn my gaze toward the sound, and a blonde girl emerges, wrapped in a towel. We both widen our eyes in surprise. I was about to inquire about her identity when I hear Rafe yawn, his awakening drawing my attention.

He looks at the blonde girl, smiling, but as I clear my throat, his smile fades. I tilt my head, tears welling up, and ask, "Care to explain why this person is here?" Rafe lowers his gaze in guilt, and I scoff. "I can't believe you would cheat on me, especially on our anniversary!" I lash out at him. He opens his mouth to speak, but the girl interjects, "I had no idea he had a girlfriend. He told me he was single." I glance toward her, sighing, and respond, "It's not your fault." She smiles slightly, collects her clothes, and walks toward the door.

However, before leaving, she pauses, turning back to face Rafe. She approaches him, and both of us look on in confusion. "your a fucking bitch" she whispers "she deserves better then you" she glances at me. "I know that," he mutters. The girl then walks toward me, offering a reassuring touch on my arm. I respond with a sad smile, and she exits the room. Left alone with Rafe, I look at him, disappointment written all on my face.

"Babe, I can explain. Last night, I went to that Toppers party that you didn't want to go to" he starts, and I roll my eyes, but I let him continue. "I got incredibly drunk and felt lonely without you by my side, so I started talking to that girl, and before I knew it—" I cut him off, saying, "Yes, I know what happened. No need to go into detail." He sighs, tears welling in his eyes.

"I'm so sorry, y/n. I love you with all my heart, and I genuinely mean it when I say I can't function without you," he pleads, his voice filled with remorse. I roll my eyes, observing his tears, but I remain resolute. I walk towards his closet, retrieving the clothes I left there. Rafe raises his eyebrows, stepping off the bed and moving closer to me.

He reaches out to grab my hand, hoping to prevent me from taking my belongings. I flinch at his touch, pulling my hand away from his grasp. I meet his gaze, witnessing the pain in his eyes. "Y/n, please leave the clothes. I don't want you to leave me," he implores, his voice desperate. I scoff, disbelief evident in my tone. "You seriously think I'm going to stay with your sorry ass after you cheated on me!?" His body flinches at the sound of my raised voice, fully aware that I rarely raise it.

"Just give me one more chance. I know I messed up, but please, I'll be better" he pleads, desperation lacing his words. I look down, contemplating his request, but deep down, I know my worth. I shake my head, denying his plea. "I'm sorry, Rafe, but no more chances. You blew it," I declare firmly.

I turn to walk out the door, pausing momentarily, and then I face him one last time. Tears well up in my eyes as I gaze at the promise ring he once gave me—a symbol of his love. With a heavy heart, I remove the ring from my finger and hold out my hand, offering it to him. Rafe looks down, his eyes widening as he notices the ring in his hand. I give him a sad smile, summoning the courage to finally walk away from him.

"ill miss you my love," I choke out, my voice trembling with emotion. Rafe's expression turns into a frown as he witnesses my departure. I close the door behind me and miss him forever
