I drifted into sleep, embraced by the comfort of my bed and the presence of Rafe by my side. I snuggled close to him, finding comfort in his warmth. Our bodies molded together, fitting perfectly like two pieces of a puzzle.

But suddenly, I was startled awake by the sound of a muffled whimper. Groggy and disoriented, I blinked my eyes open, trying to make sense of my surroundings. It took a moment for reality to settle in, and as my vision adjusted, I saw Rafe my boyfriend of 2 years, lying next to me, his face etched with distress.

My heart ached at the sight of his torment, and without hesitation, I reached out, my fingers delicately brushing away the locks of hair that obscured his eyes. "Rafe, what's wrong?" I murmured, my voice filled with genuine concern, hoping to alleviate the turmoil that haunted him.

He sighed, his gaze shifting momentarily to the
ceiling as if searching for the right words. "I feel like I'm going crazy again, y/n," he confessed, his vulnerability seeping through his voice. A tremor ran through his body as he clutched at his hair, his fears spilling forth. "I don't want to lose you."

My heart ached at his anguish, at the depth of his insecurities. I longed to offer him solace, to reassure him that he was not alone. Wrapping my arms around him, I pulled him close, his head resting against my chest

Softly, I whispered reassurances, my words a gentle balm to his troubled spirit. "Rafe, you're not going crazy," I murmured,

I traced gentle circles on his back, my touch conveying a silent promise that I would be there, unwavering in my support.

He held onto me, his grip gradually loosening as he allowed himself to find solace in the warmth of our embrace. The lines of worry on his face softened, replaced by a glimmer of hope as my words washed over him.

"I keep having dreams," he confessed, his voice tinged with vulnerability. "Dreams where I lose control, It terrifies me, y/n."

softly, I stroked his cheek, my touch a gesture of love. "I understand, Rafe," I murmured, my voice filled with empathy. "But remember, dreams aren't always our reality. Right now, in this moment, we're here, together. You're safe, and I'll always be here to remind you."

His eyes searched mine, seeking reassurance in the depths of our connection. With every ounce of love in my heart, I sought to ease his fears, to bring him back to a place of peace. "I believe in you, Rafe. You're stronger than you think"

As my words settled, we lay entwined, our breaths gradually synchronizing, creating a tender melody of comfort and intimacy. The worries of the night faded, replaced by a profound sense of tranquility, anchored by our unwavering love.

With each passing moment, we found solace in each other's arms, cocooned in the warmth of our shared vulnerability. Our bodies molded together, fitting perfectly, as if destined to find solace in the other's embrace.

The softness of his breath against my skin, the rise and fall of his chest reminded me how much i loved him
