Rafe, my boyfriend, was deeply engrossed in playing on his PS5 one night. Little did he know that my best friend and I were getting ready to attend a party, which he was initially unaware of. I carefully selected a stunning silky black dress that featured a mesmerizing drip of sparkle and a seductive leg slit. As I walked by Rafe, catching his attention, he couldn't help but inquire about my attire.

"Where do you think you're going with that on?" he asked, clearly intrigued by my choice of going somewhere dressed like that without him.

I paused for a moment, considering his words. Sensing a mix of protectiveness and possessiveness, I decided to challenge him a bit "JJs party with         y/bsf/n,"

Rafe's expression turned serious, he took off his headset and walked towards me.he leaned closer, his voice filled with determination. "I don't want anyone to even think they have a chance with you, Y/N. I want to be there, so people know you're mine.""Someone's going to hit on me, huh?" I replied with a teasing smile.

I raised an eyebrow, both amused and touched by his display of possessiveness. After a brief pause, I relented. "Alright, fine. You can come to the party. But remember, I can handle myself too."

A grin spread across Rafe's face, relief evident in his eyes. "i love you Y/N."

As we arrived at the party, Rafe's protective presence by my side made it clear that I was not available. However, a few minutes after we settled in, Rafe excused himself to use the bathroom. It was in that brief moment that someone ive never seen before approached me.

"Hey there, beautiful. You're looking lonely," the person said, their tone filled with confidence. "You don't need that boyfriend of yours. I can show you a much better time."

I immediately felt uncomfortable and tried to politely decline. "I appreciate the offer, but I'm already in a relationship. I'm not interested."

To my surprise, the person persisted, undeterred by my response. "I don't care about your boyfriend. I want you, and I'm not taking no for an answer."

Just as the tension escalated, Rafe emerged from the bathroom, his eyes narrowing as he witnessed the unwanted advances. Without hesitation, he approached the person, his voice laced with anger and protectiveness.

"Excuse me, but she already said she's taken. Back off and respect her boundaries," Rafe warned, his tone firm and unwavering.

The person smirked and shrugged off Rafe's words. "I don't care about her boyfriend. If she wants me, she can have me."

Rafe's patience reached its limit, and he took a step closer, his fists clenched. "You don't understand. She's mine, and I won't let anyone disrespect her. Back off now."

A brief scuffle ensued, drawing attention from the partygoers and eventually leading to us getting kicked out of the party. Despite the setback, Rafe's protective actions made me feel a mixture of gratitude and love. We made our way back home, holding hands tightly, our emotions raw but united.

Once we arrived, the tension melted away, and we sought solace in each other's arms. Rafe pulled me close, his touch gentle yet possessive. We found comfort in the warmth of our embrace, knowing that, despite the challenges faced, our love remained strong.

"sorry i got us kicked out Y/N," Rafe whispered, his voice filled with a mix of vulnerability and determination. "but you know I'll always fight for you and protect you."

A soft smile tugged at my lips as I nestled against him, feeling safe and loved. "i love you Rafe. Thank you for standing up for us tonight."

after we ate some food left out in the kitchen Rafe and I settled into his bed, our bodies entwined as we sought comfort in each other's arms. His embrace was both protective and tender, his touch a soothing balm to the unease that lingered within me.

I nestled my head against his chest, feeling the steady rhythm of his heartbeat as it reverberated through my body. The soft warmth of his breath against my hair, coupled with the gentle rise and fall of his chest, created a sense of peace that washed over me.

As we lay there, wrapped in each other's arms, I couldn't help but reflect on the events that transpired earlier. The lingering adrenaline and unease made it difficult for me to find sleep, my mind plagued by what-ifs and imagined scenarios. What if Rafe hadn't been there to stand up for me? What if I had been left to fend off the advances alone?

Unable to still my racing thoughts, I started breathing heavily and getting a little panicked. Rafe stirred beside me, his eyes fluttering open as he registered my discomfort.

"Y/N, are you okay?" he murmured, his voice tinged with concern.

I sighed"I can't sleep, Rafe. I keep thinking about what could have happened if you hadn't been there to help me."

Rafe tightened his hold on me, his arms offering a sense of security. "I understand, love. But you're safe now, and I'll always be here to protect you."

I gazed up at him, my eyes filled with gratitude. "I know, Rafe. It's just... It was scary you know like he didnt even care when i said no "

Rafe's expression softened, his thumb gently caressing my cheek. "I promise you, Y/N, No matter where we go from now on, I'll always be by your side. you will never go through that again darling"

A sense of calm settled within me as I absorbed his words, knowing that our love was a fortress against any potential harm. I pressed a soft kiss against his chest, feeling the steady beat of his heart against my lips.

"Thank you, Rafe," I whispered, my voice filled with a mixture of love and relief. "I'm grateful to have you in my life."

With a gentle smile, Rafe pressed his lips to my forehead. "And I'm grateful to have you, Y/N. lets make a deal alright sweetheart. tomorrow ill take you shopping and you can finally pick the promise bracelet u wanted us to get"

I nodded, our unspoken agreement solidifying our bond. In that moment, we made a promise to each other — and now having these promise bracelets, everyone will know we're promised to each other

As we settled back into each other's embrace, the weight of the night's events began to lift. The rhythmic sound of our breathing filled the room, lulling us into a peaceful slumber. We knew that we had each other, and that knowledge provided a foundation of comfort and security that would endure long into the future.
