[At Hexside, Luz and Y/n find Gus in the hallway, upset because he messed up after trying to help Willow with a pixie problem; he used illusions to try and distract them, but accidentally angered the pixies, causing them to attack Willow instead. Because of this, Gus lost his confidence regarding his ability to perform illusion magic and feels he should try something different. Luz and Y/n assure him that he will feel better tomorrow.]
[Cut to later in the evening in The Owl House. Y/n and Luz are in the Kitchen. Luz is going through some books while Y/n rests his head on his hand.]
Luz: Hey Y/n! I was thinking maybe we could search the library for some clues.
Y/n: On the human that lived here in the Boiling Isles?
Luz: Yeah! And maybe Amity could help us too... [She gets a bit "soft" when she talked about having Amity help so Y/n had an idea, a brilliant idea.]
Y/n: I'd love to go but I got training plans, and plus King and I have some demon studies to catch up on so y'know...
Luz: [Seems a little surprised.] Oh, You sure? This could help us find out how to get back home...
Y/n: Yes, it's ok. I'll contribute more later on alright?
Luz: O-Ok. I understand, I guess I'll just go by myself and ask Amity.
Y/n: Mhm yeah.

Luz: [She looks at him suspiciously.] What's with that look?
Y/n: What look?
Luz: What you're doing right now.
Y/n: I dunno what you're talking about. [He shrugs his shoulders as he gets up from his seat and leaves] Oh, and don't do anything stupid tomorrow alright?

Y/n: Yeah yeah I know, but you're best friends with this stupid guy whether you like it or not [He laughs.] Good night.

[Cut to presumably tomorrow. Gus laying on the floor of his bedroom. He groans. The following events ensue in this video since it seems easier.]
[Cut to the Bonesborough Library. Luz is at a desk with a crystal ball. Luz types "human" into the crystal ball's search bar. She finds an article about Eda using paddle-balls that were mistaken for weapons.]
Luz: "Mystery vendor floods market with dangerous human goods." Oh, Eda. "Human resident donates personal diary to local library." [Gasps.] Yes! This must be it!
[Cut to the Kid's Corner. Luz peeks in, watching Amity, her hair down, talk to one of the baby class kids, who is holding her hairband captive.]
Amity: Come on. Give it back. [Smiles at the kid kindly.]
Kid: No!
Amity: [Sighs.] If you give me back my hairband, I'll read you whatever book you want tomorrow.
Kid: [Gasps, hands the hairband back.] Finally! I can learn how to summon the dark lord!
