Doom also had an 'arch nemesis' that would frequently try to get in her way and befriend her and thats the real reason she's so hard on Frown, she sees herself in him and is trying to toughen him up, it's also a form of self-loathing as she secretly resents the path she's chosen for herself... You may have also noticed that Petunia calls Master Doom, Mal, that's because Doom's real name is Malerie Doom and Petunia is one of the only people who dares to call the sovereign Doomlord by her frist name
