I searched frantically through my closet for something to wear
None of the clothes I had seemed to interest me
"What are you doing?" Kayode asked
I didn't hear him enter
"Can't you knock?" I said eyeing him
"I did but you didn't answer" he said
"Oh, maybe I was so engrossed in finding the right cloth to wear" I told him
"The Pamela thing" he asked
I nodded
"Sha share me info when you get back" he said leaving
At the bottom of my closet, I found a cute jean jacket he'd given me a few years ago
I wondered if it still fit
Though I hated him and the bad memories the jacket brought it seem to catch my attention
I tried it on and it fit
"Omo she I never add ni (Haven't I increased in size)" I said
I quickly put a white crop top and a short pleated skirt and wore the jacket.
I picked up my phone and hurried to meet Ireti where we planned on meeting
Time skip
"Halleluyah" I mumbled as I noticed Pamela coming
Ireti and I had waited for her for almost 30 minutes
"Hi Pamela" I greeted
Pamela just hissed
The girl had a lot of problems
"Why did you call me Ireti" Pamela asked
"Good afternoon might have been nicer" Ireti said
"Spare me the crap abeg, why did you call me" she said
"There are some things we'd like to know about Alessia" I said
"The investigators found out Alessia has two different score sheets" I continued
Her faced paled as she heard me say that
"Do you know about it?" Ireti asked
"I don't" Pamela replied but it looked like she was lying
"Pamela, please tell me the truth" I pleaded
"Well.." she was saying until I heard a gunshot
I covered my ears and bent my head on impulse
I raised my head up as I saw Pamela lying on the ground with a pool of blood around her
Ireti screamed
My phone notification rang
I saw a message
"Yemisi, tread carefully where your shadow doesn't belong, or you may find yourself in deeper waters."
