He roamed the streets of the slums. They were quiet for the most part. The occasional courtesan sauntered up to him, tried to seduce him.
He didn't know why they would come up to a killer like him. He caught a glimpse of himself in a darkened window of a warehouse.
He had short blonde hair and bangs that fell into hellish orange eyes. His cruel mouth was set in a near constant scowl.
He looked away and set off towards a more active part of the city. He walked through an alley and peered out. The street just beyond the alley's shadows illuminated a slightly busier district. There were a few passers by. He stumbled out of the alley and into the street. He limped up the street, leaning on the walls of buildings for added effect.
"Are you okay? Sir, are you okay?" asked a woman.
They were in front of a dark alley now. He looked full on at the woman, a maniacal grin on his face.
"I'm just fine, dearie," he said.
A scream had just reached the woman's lips when he covered her mouth and attacked.
