Her Point of View

As soon as we landed on the private island owned by El Señor, maids and butlers lined up just below the stairs of the aircraft.

They greeted us with flower necklaces and cool alcoholic refreshments. Our baggages were quickly grabbed by the butlers in charge of our arrival.

"Buenas tardes, Señor." A butler greeted. Jeno gave him a nod and proceeded to walk towards a boho-styled house.

"Ah, Franco. It's been a while." Mark greeted, a smile on his face.

"We missed your presence here, Señor." The butler bowed his head.

Mark's smile widened. His gaze suddenly landed on me. "This is Eight by the way." He introduced me.

I stared at the butler, giving myself time to study his features.

"It's nice seeing you here, Señora. I heard lots of incredible stories about you."

"Really? Like what?" I curiously asked.

"Well, for starters, like you don't have a last name. It's impossible to trace any records of you as far as I heard." He explained. A sudden pause followed. I did not answer yet as I waited for his next sentence, it seems he wasn't done yet with his curiosity. "May I ask why, Señora? I mean, you're the first one to enter Sin Nombre without background information."

"Well, you see, Franco, I'm not the type to like those who meddles. It's best you remain curious." I paused and locked my eyes with him, "And just stay that way."

I saw Mark with his furrowed eyebrows. I shrugged it off and followed Jeno to the house stationed across the beach shoreline.

I heard Mark mumbling about apologies, but I was too tired and sleepy to care.

The other members were fast to make themselves comfortable in what they call a "rest house".

"Hell yeah! I miss this place!" Jisung interjected and grabbed the controller of the PS5 stationed below the TV.

"Join me in!" Chenle grabbed a controller too.

"What do you guys want for dinner?" Renjun yelled from the kitchen. When nobody answered, he called out the member who sat alone by himself with a laptop on his lap. "Jaemin! What do you want?"

"Anything! I'm doing something!" Jaemin yelled back.

"Ugh, whatever! I'm cooking what I want. I don't wanna hear a single complaint!" Renjun stated shutting the kitchen door.

I looked at Jaemin who seemed so busy with his laptop. "Hey, what are you doing? You seem busy." I said as I walked towards him.

He quickly shut his laptop down and looked at me with defensive eyes. "Nothing." He replied.

I was startled with his reaction. "Keeping secrets now, huh?" I jokingly said and chuckled.

"You're the one with many secrets." And with his one sentence, I felt attacked. Like his words meant something.

"What?"

"Nothing. I'm going to rest." Jaemin said and walked away bringing his laptop with him.

What the hell?

"Ya'll, it's time to eat!" I heard Haechan yell from downstairs.

"Coming!" Echoes of response rang throughout the second floor of the house, where the individual rooms for the members were placed.

I was about to stand when I felt my phone vibrate in my pocket. I opened the notification.

It was Jaehyun, he sent a picture of him holding a grocery bag with a big smile in my living room. It was followed by a message:

From Jaehyun:
Was able to buy food from the grocery without getting caught :)

To Jaehyun:
Stay safe. Don't go out anymore.

I closed my phone and quickly headed downstairs as I could feel my stomach rumbling already due to hunger.

Jeno and the members greeted me with smiles on their faces.

"You guys seem happy." I smiled.

"Well, of course. We only experience this—well, it's almost impossible for us to experience this." Jisung said happily.

"Sit down, Eight. Renjun's a good cook." Jeno said and tapped the chair right next to his. I nodded and sat beside him.

"Wow, steak and salad? Looks good." Mark complimented and poured wine into his wine glass.

"Of course! I cooked that." Renjun said with a smirk.

"I just hope it's edible." Haechan whispered, but it was loud enough for everyone to hear. I giggled when I realized Haechan really intended it to be heard by Renjun.

"Don't you dare bite, or even taste my specialty." Renjun pointed a steak knife at Haechan causing the other members to laugh, except for Jaemin who seemed bothered by something.

"Is everything alright, Jaemin?" Chenle asked beside me, noticing Jaemin's unusual quietness.

"Yes." Jaemin gave a small smile. A smile that I knew was fake.

"Just enjoy the trip, Jaemin. Work can come after." Mark said slicing the steak on his plate.

"Don't think too much. We have a week to ourselves. Take advantage of it." Jeno added and munched on the steak from his fork. I smiled at my view. "This is good." His smile grew bigger.

Seeing Jeno in a relaxed state made me genuinely happy. I couldn't control my growing smile anymore.

I wish everyday could be like this.
