JUST A FOREWARNING: There's a lot more language in this chapter because Jesse makes an appearance, and we all know how Z feels about him (she hates him more than sand).

It wasn't surprising that the Poletecs decided to fight with them. It was their best chance at survival. They also had to prove themselves, otherwise Tambor would keep going after them. Things got ugly fast. They were being swarmed, Z took cover behind a large boulder, though it didn't help too much, considering the droids could fly. Tech moved to take cover next to her and she gave him a two-fingered salute before throwing a Vibroblade into a droid. She heard his slight scoff, but knew it was endearing. They quickly fell into a pattern of fighting while watching each other's backs. The two weren't as close as Z was with Crosshair, but they knew each other well. They had gone on enough duo missions together to know how to fight in unison.

Z ducked, Tech threw a droid popper over her head. She shot behind him, he shot in front of her. Z's movements froze abruptly when she saw what was coming.

"That's just unfair." Z complained, and Tech followed her gaze to where two octuptarra tri-droids were dropped in the center of the village.

"That is quite...inconvenient." Tech admitted.

"Stop being positive, I'm trying to sulk."

"Sulking will get you killed." Hunter informed Z as he sprinted past her, using his Vibroblade to dissect a droid.

"Show-off." Z grumbled before leaping back into action. She was distracted for a moment as she watched Hunter, Rex, and Wrecker scrambling up one of the tri-droids, but just laughed lightly and told Tech to be sure he was recording. The two went back to their rhythm, keeping the smaller than building-size-droids under control. Z tossed a stun grenade into the air, calling out her estimated marks as Tech shot it. He always got the precise ones, she usually just guessed. The droids crumpled to the ground but more were already taking their place.

That was until a Tri-droid came crashing down in front of Z and Tech. The wave of dirt enveloped them, and Z had never been more thankful for the filter in her helmet. The second droid came crashing down a moment later.

"Well that was easy." Z said, holstering her blaster as the remaining droids flew away.

"You did not play a part in taking down the Tri-droids." Tech informed her, and Z walked past him, turning to walk backwards and give her brother finger guns.

"Exactly,"

The group made their way to the Marauder, with the Poletecs following. Z was more than grateful to be leaving the planet. Maybe even to some time off on Kamino soon (She was lying to herself if she thought that would happen). Z stood on the ramp of the Marauder, watching as the final exchange played out.

"Thank you for helping us in our fight," General Skywalker said gratefully, to which Tech translated.

The chief responded, "He said the Jedi will always have an ally here on Skako Minor." Z looked over the Poletecs, wondering if they would even live to see another Jedi again. She hoped, maybe one would visit here after the war. Remind these people that they had helped a Republic victory. But deep down she doubted it.

Once everyone had loaded onto the ship it was busy. Tech was piloting them back to Anaxes, Rex was checking on Echo, Crosshair was being pissy, Hunter was trying to stop him, Wrecker was using Gonky as a weight, and Z was trying to get dried blood off her face. Safe to say, it was crowded.
