"Let's talk in my cabin."

Akarsh went out without even hearing her reply.

Isha squinted her eyes seeing his attitude.

"What does he think of himself? Jo bolega mai vo karungi." She took deep breaths to control her anger seeing his attitude. "Control Isha. You need to talk. It's just one time thing. You can bear his arrogant ass for few minutes. Yes. I can do it."

After her little pep talk to herself, she moved towards his cabin and entered inside without knocking.

"You know it's basic manners to knock." Akarsh said sarcastically.

"Oh My my !! Thanks for telling me. I didn't knew that you had started the job of moral police also." Isha replied with a tight lipped smile.

"Tumse to baat krna hi bekaar hai"

"Haa to mat karo"

"Kya?"

"Baat." Isha narrowed her eyes at him. "Ek baar ho gya , ho gya , dubara nahi karne doongi."

"Kya?"

"Sex"

"What the fuck?" Akarsh was shocked hearing her reply. Yes, he wanted to talk about their last night but he didn't expect Isha to be that vocal about it. Here he was struggling to start the conversation and she just finished it in a minute.

"Okay. I just wanted to say that last time I was drunk and my alcohol tolerance is really bad so whatever happened between us , it was just " Akarsh didn't know to carry the conversation anymore. "I mean that whatever happened last night was- Fuck."

"I understand. Last night we both were not in our senses so let's just forget this." Isha said. " If that's all then I'm going."

Isha winced in the pain because of standing for so much time. The flooded thoroughly her body like a crashing wave. The muted light from Akarsh's office cast a hazy glow over the room, emphasizing the tension between them. She cleared her throat, avoiding Akarsh's gaze.

"I can't believe we... you know," Isha muttered, her voice barely above a whisper.

Akarsh shifted in his chair, his eyes flickering to hers. "I know, Isha. It was a drunken mistake."

As she reached for the doorknob, his hands brushed against hers, igniting a spark that sent goosebumps racing down her arms. She pulled back, heart hammering in her chest.

Because of sudden pull, her back collided with his muscular chest.

She shivered at the feeling.

Akarsh's brows furrowed with concern. "Isha, are you okay?"

Her breath caught in her throat, unsure of how to respond. She mustered a weak smile. "I'm fine, just... surprised."

The air crackled with unspoken words, hanging heavy between them like a curtain of doubt. Isha's fingers trembled as she finally turned the doorknob, the metallic click echoing in the silence of the office. The weight of their actions lingered, a palpable presence in the room, as they stood on the precipice of uncertainty.
