poem #7: the bullet we missed

i thought of you as a mirror at some point,
the way we reflect each other,
made me feel completely whole,
it's insane in a good way.

but it turns out,
the mirror was actually tarnished,
our reflection was just a facade,
same but also different.

i was born in the light,
but forced in the dark,
i wanted that light,
but you kept on dragging me back to the ground.

i thought you know me so well,
it turns out it's all a fraud,
i should've known better,
i should've known.

i want to lighten you up,
introduce you my world,
but you didn't take the risk,
you don't want to.

we are the bullet we missed,
we just bleed on each other,
scarred and bruised,
i don't want another.

we missed the bullet,
we don't deserve,
for us to catch the one,
that were meant for us.
