i'm used in sleeping in the dark,
but why it keeps me awake now?
the cold never bothers me at all,
but now it freezes my bones.

it's dark right here,
the loneliness and emptiness,
it's not what it used to be,
it shouldn't be like this.

the only light that i can see,
from my phone that was waiting,
for it to move and ring,
and see your name in screen.

i guess i just love the dark,
with the stars shining around,
now it's lonely right here,
but how can i leave?

how can you celebrate anniversary,
when you know i hate my birthday?
you promised me "forever",
but your forever was too short.

"ready and waiting to fall",
i know it's not for me at all,
because you're now already,
in someone else's arms.

i love the dark,
it comforts me like a blanket,
hides my tears away,
keeps me safe like a baby.
