~The next day~
I was walking down that hallway this morning when I saw y/n coming down the hall from the other side
She looked up from her phone and at me, I smiled and she smiled back, I noticed she was holding car keys
She went and stood by the locker waiting on her phone
I went down another hallway and then back down the hallway she was in, I was gonna just walk by her. But I wanted to talk to her
"Hey" I said standing next to her
"Hi" she smiled taking her headphones off "I was not expecting to see you again" she said
"Why" i chuckled
She shrugged her shoulders
"Well listen" I said "I wanted to ask you if maybe you wanted to hangout during lunch, normally I would just walk home, but I really liked talking to you yesterday and I dunno it would be nice to spend lunch with someone" I rambled
"Sure" she smiled "I suppose I'll meet you here then" she said
"Yeah" I smiled
Then her friend came down the hall, she looked past me for a moment and waved
I turned around to look behind me and then brought my attention back to y/n "so I'll see you later then" I said walking away slowly
"Yep" she smiled and then her friend started talking
...
when the bell from first period rang I did not want to walk in the hallway squished up with a million other kids. I also can't afford to have another late though..... as me and Nate were leaving the classroom I saw y/n walking down the hall as well
she had headphones on and didnt seem to be paying attention to much. but shockingly she saw me and smiled. I smiled back and she continued walking, there were some kids in-between her and me and Nate
"whos that" Nate asked nudging my shoulder and making a face
"my friend" I said shrugging my shoulders
"ooooo" nate chuckled "you have a class with her or something" he added
"nah" I said "I see her all the time in the halls and stuff and yesterday I decided to just talk to her" I said
"mmh" Nate said looking me up and down "so you like her then"
"I didnt say that" I said as we were about to reach my class
"you didnt have too" Nate said as he kept walking down the hall while I was stopped at my class
"didn't have too what" I asked as he kept walking
he just waved by as he turned the corner with a bunch of other kids
...
and before I knew it third period hit. I was walking down the stairs when I caught y/n about to go outside
"y/n" I called after her
she took her headphones off her head and looked around before finally seeing me "hi" she said her face softened "you coming with me?" she asked jingling her car keys
"I dont see why not" I said following her outside
we walked through the parking lot to her car
"you can put your stuff in the back if you want" she said opening the back door to the car and throwing her bag in
I did the same and then got into the passenger seat
she got into the drivers seat but didnt start the car
she turned to face me and said "we can go somewhere if you want" she said "but most of the time I just sit here, ill eat my lunch or ill just listen to music or ill do pretty much whatever"
"im cool with doing whatever" I chuckled running a hand through my hair "it sucks that you have lunch by yourself" I said
"but you see now im not alone" she chuckled plugging her phone in and playing music
"well" I said sarcastically "you only have to thank me if you want too"
"thank you" she laughed shaking her head
... two weeks later...
we were in y/ns car, it was lunch
"what are you doing after school" I asked
"going home" she chuckled
"you should meet my brothers" I said "and I wanna hangout with you"
"were hanging out right now" she joked
"yeah but I wanna like, outside of school, hangout"
"ok....."she said slowly "what like today"
"yeah" I smiled "its Friday so it dosent matter what you do tonight because no school tomorrow"
she shook her head laughing "weird way to think about it. but sure"
