HELLO MY LOVELIES! HAPPY FRIDAY TO EVERYONE! I was going to wait to upload for this weekend, but I couldn't contain it inside any longer. My fingers were literally itching for me to write this chapter already. I hope you guys enjoy it! ♥

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
It has been a week since I have discovered Marcus's secret, and to say that things haven't changed would be a complete lie. The very next day after he revealed to me that I was indeed his mate and future Luna (which still scares the crap out of me), everyone began to treat me differently. I had actually found out who were the other humans living in the pack and I was surprised to see that I had one of them in one of my classes. They were extremely nice to me and were glad to know that I was told the secret, which is not so much of a secret if everyone in town was a part of it. The people that surprised me the most were the actual pack members. Nearly all of them would smile in my direction or bow respectfully my way as I'll pass them by. I had to admit, it was a little bit awkward at first, but I learned to ignore it and simply nod in acknowledgement. I hope that wasn't disrespectful or anything in their culture. I just didn't know how to take in all of the attention.
The only person that still had not changed their ways around me had to be none other than Claudia. I would always feel her shooting daggers in my direction in English as well as when I walked down the halls. I didn't exactly know what was her problem, but I didn't bother confronting her about it. Imagine a mere human confronting a powerful werewolf in the middle of a school hallway. Yeah, that wouldn't end up nicely for me.
Throughout this entire week, I couldn't help but continuously think about how my life had completely changed since the second I arrived to Black Forest. All my life I had thought that all I was ever destined to do was become a nurse (just like my mom had been) and help out those in need. I was always spectacular in that aspect, so I fit the role of a nurse perfectly. But now, here I am, discovering that I, Rochelle James, is destined for more than just that. Apparently the goddess herself, whomever the heck she may be, paired me up to be the mate of a werewolf; and not just any werewolf, the soon to be Alpha. So that made me the person who will be next in line to become Luna of the Black Forest Pack. Ha! Me, the biggest nerd of the century becoming practically the Queen of the largest werewolf pack in the world. Was the goddess drunk or something when she decided I would be Marcus's mate? Probably had a hangover if that was even possible for Gods to endure.
The bell rang, signaling the end of class and the beginning of lunch period. I made my way to the cafeteria and stepped into the line, feeling all eyes staring at me. Now I understood why they had been doing so a lot before last week. Not only did they know I was a human being living amongst werewolves, I was their soon to be Luna. Talk about pressure.
As I paid for my food, I was about to make my way out of the lunchroom as usual until I felt a strong arm wrap itself around my waist. I let out a small cry of surprise until I felt the instant sparks ignite where he touched. I turned around and smiled at the most handsome man I had ever laid my eyes on. My mate.
It was still a little bit strange calling someone that since I wasn't raised in this world. All I ever knew people would call their significant other would be their boyfriend/girlfriend, fiancé, or husband/wife. I was completely new to this whole mate thing. Heck, I didn't even know in what stage my relationship with Marcus was in. He would always hang out with me in the library and occasionally would sneak into my room at night (which I didn't mind one bit) just so he can get to know me better. How sweet was that? He had mentioned how the whole marking thing works for mates, and I would be lying if I wasn't freaked out about it. I mean, how would you feel if some random guy (not random in my case) would come up to you and bite down on your neck with large canines that would pop out of nowhere? That would hurt like a b*tch! And with the whole canines thing, he did show me that he was able to do that this weekend when he snuck into my room one night. It was pretty cool but still freaky nonetheless. Anyway, I don't know how I would feel exactly, knowing that he had to bite down on my neck just to claim me as his. Wasn't there just the whole ring type of thing just to show everyone that you guys were together? But he did explain to me that as well. He said that for humans, marriage isn't much of an official way to state that two people are together because they could easily get a divorce whenever they wanted to. Mates were destined to be together until the end of time and the whole marking and mating ritual would seal the bond that was unbreakable. Now for the whole mating thing, I couldn't help but blush whenever I thought about it.
