14. A heart's requiem

Calen was just looking at Jin Hye while she was cleaning his wounds. He was a bit disapponted at himself for not putting up a good fight, he couldn't believe that he let Caleb treat him like that in front of the woman he loved.

Hindi naman na niya maitatanggi pa. Para saan pa kung itatanggi niya sa sarili niya na mahal niya si Jin Hye? Iyon naman talaga ang totoo. Mahal niya ito kaya nga niya pilit ipinaglalaban ito.

"Why are you crying?" He asked her. Nakaupo ito sa harap niya habang dinadampian ng bulak ang sugat niya. Humikbi pa ito. Hinawakan niya ang kamay nito at saka pinisil iyon.

"Bakit nga?" He asked again. "Aray!" Napadaing siya nang diinan ni Jin Hye ang gilid ng labi niya.

"Bakit hindi mo nilabanan si Caleb? You can beat him, I know you could! You're stronger than him!" Humihikbi ito. He sighed. Hindi niya rin alam kung bakit nga hindi niya nilabanan si Caleb, maybe it was because deep inside him, he was still his brother. He remembered back when they were still young, sa tuwing maiinis siya kay Caleb o kaya man magagalit ay isinasantabi na lamang niya iyon. He didn't want to hurt his brother - mahala niya kasi ito. And now, he guessed that even if Caleb took his everything, he ciuldn't still stand the thought of him hurting his brother.

"He's my brother." He said cooly. Lalong napaiyak si Jin Hye. "Kahit galit ako sa kanya dahil kinuha ka niya sa akin, mahal ko siya, hindi ko pa rin siya kayang saktan. I wanted to see him suffer, I wanted him to feel the pain I felt when I lost you, but deep inside of me, I still want him to be happy."

Jin Hye smiled at him. He touched her face and wipe away all her tears.

"Thank you..." He said.

"Para saan?" Nagtatakang tanong nito.

"For choosing me. For healing my wounds, For completing my life. Thank you for finally making me happy..." His voice was shaking that moment, he knew that he might cry but he's not scared of Jin Hye seing him cry. Ang tagal-tagal na niyang iniyakan ito, he had missed her so much. And right now, at this moment, she had chosen him, he was finally complete.

Jin Hye hugged him. He let his tears fall. Kung panaginip ito, sana hindi na siya magising. He wanted to live in this dream for a very long time. He couldn't and he wouldn't want for this dream to end. Mahal na mahal niya si Jin Hye.

"Sana maging okay na kayo ni Caleb." Mahinang wika nito.

"That time will come eventually pero hindi pa siguro ngayon."

He said. He knew that Caleb was pretty mad at him for not telling him where Aiko was pero that's another story. He was just really glad that Jin Hye was here with him again and that they could finally be happy.

He was really glad.

It was everything Jin Hye could ever wish for. Napapangiti siya habang pinagmamasdan si Calen na naglalaro ng video games nito. He was so busy playing with his toys that he didn't even notice her standing behind him. Hindi niya alam kung anong nilalaro nito, but in the past few days, she was able to meet the new Calen.

He was still pretty much the same old Calen - childish, sweet, impatient, caring but he's more mature. Masaya siya na kasama na niya ulit ito. Pinagsisihan na niya ang pang-iiwan dito, at ngayon she was treasuring every moment she spends with him.

"Hoy!" Dinutdot niya ang alikat nito. Mukhang nagulat pa ito.

"Nandyan ka pala..." Nakangising sagot nito.

"Hmp, kanina pa ako dito. Hindi mo naman ako pinapansin." Tumayo si Calen at saka inakbayan siya. She sighed. Nagsimula na siyang kabahan. May nais kasi siyang sabihin dito. She wanted to tell him something that she knew would make him flip.
