Daughter of the Copy Cat, Rescuer of the Raven Chapter 6

“Sasuke, hurry up.” I heard Suigetsu yell, I grunted but didn’t walk any faster, why should I obey  him? I’m the leader of team Hebi, I’m the one who gives the orders.

An irritated sigh broke me out of my daze,

“Come on Sasuke-kun, you said yourself we need to reach our destination by nightfall if we want to make it to town.” I inwardly groaned, Karin has a point. She seemed to realise that she got me, she let a triumphant smile spread across her face and she pushed her purple glasses up, a breeze swept through the forest and made her red hair follow with the wind,

“Hm.” I grunted. I quickly disappeared and re-appeared in front of everyone,

“Oh Sasuke! You’re so cool!” The red head cooed. I almost cringed, almost,

“Sasuke, are you sure you want to keep going? This place is fairly close to the leaf village, we don’t want to get caught.” Juugo added. My heart pounded at the thought, but I kept my face the same,

“We won’t get caught.” I answered simply before continuing to walk towards my destination,

“Sasuke.” I stopped walking,

“What?” I asked in monotone,

“What’s the real reason?” Suigetsu asked, I didn’t turn around,

“Why take this risk Sasuke? Why can’t we just meet this guy in another village?” My face didn’t change at Juugo’s question,

“I am the leader of this team. I’ve decided this town is the best place to meet.” From there on I ignored their questions. After they finally realised I wasn’t going to talk to them anymore, apart from the occasional argument from Karin and Suigetsu, everything was quiet.

“Sasuke, don’t stay up too late. We need to get to early.” Karin called,

“Hn.” I grunted from my resting place on top of a tree, I heard Karin mutter something under her breath before I heard her stomp away. Moody woman. Not like Ayame. Patient, kind, and of course selfless. That part of her really puzzled me, why was she so selfless? I mean, it’s not a crime to put yourself first. Or maybe it’s just me…

I pondered (A/N Hehehe, pondered, heheheh X3) these thoughts for a few minutes before I came to a decision. I’m going to see her.

I disappeared from the tree top and jumped onto a branch. With that I sprung off towards Konaha, it wouldn’t be hard to sneak through. Konaha has no information about this because I’ve only just decided now. And anyway, I’ll be back before sunrise.

I landed silently on a tree branch, I saw Kakashi through a small window. I couldn’t hear anything but he looked like he was laughing. My old sensei, you haven’t changed in the slightest. There’s another girl. White hair, but it’s short, not long like the sweet girl I used to know. But, maybe she cut it. If she did I’m going to force her to grow it out.

But then I saw her, she walked forward and gave Kakashi a hug. Her face glowing with happiness, hm, I wonder what happened. Kakashi laughed again and the strange girl jumped onto his back, not in a vicious way though, as in she was overjoyed, What’s going on…? I wondered as I waited for the one eyed shinobi to leave.

It didn’t take long, he left a few minutes after I got there. The girl didn’t leave though, seems she’s staying with my Ayame. I grunted, I’ll have to take her away then. I waited patiently for Ayame to come out onto the balcony, if she didn’t, then seeing her is enough for me. But, luckily, she came out. I smiled to myself,
