"I promise, it'll be great" Amanda assured me as she handed me the duffle bag. It's been a few weeks since the Luna Ceremony. Zeke has shifted for the first time. That was a stressful time, but we all survived. Caleb and I haven't been spending as much time together as I would have wanted. He's been quite distant lately. He's busy with things during the day. I go to sleep before he even gets in our bed. And I wake up with the other side of the bed warm, telling me that he slept there; however he's never there when I wake up.

I thought that we would be closer after the ceremony and confessing our feelings; but it seems as if we grew apart. I don't like it one tiny bit. A few people- including Mason, Amanda, Liam, Grams, Mandy, and Wyatt- think that I need a small vacation. So they have arranged for Nick to pick me up, and I'm supposed to be staying over there. I'm not sure what I'm going to be doing, since I haven't actually spoken to Nick; but I'm glad to see Caroline and Thalia again.

Unfortunately, Caleb is going to be busy. So I'm taking this vacation alone. I didn't want to go, if he wasn't going. But everyone is pressuring me to go. Amanda and Grams even packed my bags for me. I have one suitcase and a duffle bag. I don't know how long I'll be staying; but judging by how stuffed the bags are, it'll be more than a few days. I'm not sure I can last that long without Caleb.

We haven't been hanging out together. But I at least felt comfortable because he was close to me. So close, yet so far. That saying never made sense until now. Caleb could be in the same house as me- the same room as me, and it would feel like we're on opposite sides of the world. I knew he was there, and that was soothing enough for me not to go crazy.

"I'm really not in the mood to go. I just want to stay home" I informed Amanda softly. She sighed as she watched me drop the duffle bag by the wall.

I walked back to my bed and plopped face down into the soft mattress. My mate's scent lingered on the covers, causing a small smile to spread across my face. I suddenly felt a small pinch in my neck as someone's hand gently cradled my head. "I'm sorry" Amanda apologized before everything went black.

I woke up in a car- Nick's car to be more exact. "Hey. You're awake" he commented as he drove with one hand on the wheel. "How are you feeling?" Nick questioned.

I looked out the windows, trying to recognize the area; but I came up empty. Memories began flashing through my head. I started to remember how I got here. "Amanda drugged me" I muttered as my hand rubbed the spot on my neck. "You kidnapped me" my heart rate sped up as I started to panic.

"Piper. Pipes. Calm down" Nick said in a soothing tone. "I'm not gonna hurt you. I swear. Do you trust me?" he asked. I immediately nodded my head without an ounce of hesitation. He kidnapped me, but its still Nick. It can't be anything that bad, right? "Okay. There's food in the glove compartment" he informed me.

I opened it up and took out the box of S'mores Poptarts. I ripped one open and started munching on one of God's greatest creations. "So how long am I staying with you?" I inquired. Nick shrugged, so I continued to eat. "Why did you drug me?" I asked after a while. He has to have a reason right? You don't just drug someone because you feel like it. Unless you're completely psychotic.

Nick sighed. "I had to. I promise nothing bad is gonna happen to you. I wouldn't let it" he assured me. I nodded, believing every word. "It was just a little wolfsbane- just enough to knock you out. There's a container of pills in the door with a water bottle. I need you to take those three pills. You'll be asleep for the rest of the ride. But you'll be safe" he stated.
