Chapter 4 - Carson

Melody's P.O.V

I woke up to the sound of birds chirping.

"SHUT UP!!! YOU STUPID BIRDS!" I yelled. I heard my parents running up the stairs, they opened the door with a concerned face. "Melody what's wrong?" They both asked at the same time.

I laughed

"Nothing it's just the birds, they annoy me! Sorry for scaring you." I smiled, they started laughing.

"Oh well okay." My mom said, they walked out and closed the door behind them.

I got out of bed and put on some shorts and an old t shirt. I let my naturally wavy hair down and put on light make up. I grabbed a pair of converse and slipped them on.

I skipped breakfast since I wasn't really hungry and walked outside, I went on a walk hoping I would see Seth again. I really couldn't get that boy out of my head, he was good looking and in shape which I liked.

I kept walking down the road thinking about Seth, when I noticed a little trail that lead into the woods, I decided to take it, it's not like there was some serial killer on the loose, and he was hiding in there.

I kept walking until I reached a cliff, a dead end.

I sat down with my feet dangling over the edge, when I heard voices coming from the forest. They sounded like male voices, three guys came out, they looked around my age. I stood up and they looked at me.

"Well what do we have here" The boy with blond hair and brown eyes said. "Looks like a pretty girl" Another boy with black hair and blue eyes spoke. I got scared and backed up a little bit, they stepped forward. "So what do with her?" The blond one asked, I got a sick feeling in my stomach and started to sweat.

"Please I have to go home now." I said with fear in my voice. "I don't think so beautiful." The blond one said, he stepped closer, grabbed my arm and pulled me towards him. He smiled and let go and  started laughing.

"Were just kidding" he said while laughing. "We're not rapists, sorry for scaring you." Another boy with black hair and brown eyes said.

I got mad.

"WHAT THE HELL IS WRONG WITH YOU! That wasn't funny, you seriously scared me, I really thought you were gonna rape me or something!!" I yelled at them.. They stopped laughing. "Oh we're really sorry, we were just kidding we never really meant to scare you." The blond one said, they actually did look sorry about it.

"No it's fine." I said back with some rudeness in my voice. "By the way I'm Alex and this is Blake and Carson," he pointed to each one of them. Alex was the blond, Blake was the one with black hair and Carson was the brown haired one.

"I'm Melody." I said back, they extended their hands and I shook them. I couldn't help but notice Carson, he kept smiling at me, his smile was heart warming almost like he made you feel safe. I didn't notice Alex ask me a something until he yelled my name. "MELODY!" I snapped my head to him. "Huh?" I said.

"Are you new around here?" He asked, "Oh, uh ya I just moved here from Oregon." I responded. "Oh that's cool."I smiled "Yeah." Then I heard someone shout my name, I looked around and didn't see anyone.

"I think they're calling you down from the beach." Carson said with a bright smile, I couldn't help but smile back, he had perfect straight white teeth. "MELODY!"  I snapped out of my daze and looked down. It was Paul who called me, he was with the rest of the guys. I noticed Seth was next to him. I waved. "COME DOWN HERE." Embry yelled, I nodded.

"Well I should get going." I said to the Three Musketeers. They said bye and I started walking into the forest when I remembered I didn't know the way down to the beach. I turned back and smiled at them.
