Dear Jane,
today they had an assembly to determine who was the best class, sophomore, junior, or senior. they yelled, cheered, chanted words i couldn't understand to the opposing classes.
it didn't feel right without you there in the crowd.
i pictured you standing a few rows below me, and i admiring you as I always did. you would clap nervously, and when our class won one of their silly games, your eyes would grow wide, and you'd smile wide, showing your straight pearly teeth.
i shouldn't know you as well as i do, considering we never spoke more than ten words to each other since fifth grade.
how do you not be mesmerized by the one person you spot out in a crowd of over six thousand students?
as the empty person i am, i didn't react in any way to the shouts and screams. i just missed you Jane, and I imagined you being wherever I went.
you were the only thing i cared about. you were the only important priority in my life. yet i didn't have enough courage to tell you that.
