A mother of three,

Lived a perfect life,

Loved her family,

She was a great wife.

She was never bitter,

Always tried her best,

Never shouted too loud,

Never got a rest.

First came the flu,

She stayed up all night,

Then came the cough,

Another illness to fight.

It was nothing to worry about,

Thats what everyone said,

Just have a day off,

You'll feel better after bed.

She started to feel down,

Headaches, coughing and more,

She went to the doctor,

Complaining her head was sore.

He ran some tests,

With large machines

She anxiously waited,

Whilst behind the scenes,

The doctor found out,

She had a deadly disease,

How should he tell her?

He should do it with ease.

The doctor told her,

She was going to die,

She could't hold it in,

She started to cry.

What had she done?

To deserve that fate?

She was an idol for all,

But it was too late.

The kids started to cry,

When they found out,

One fell to the floor,

One started to shout.

A storm struck the family,

The did not want to speak,

The kids did not know

She'd die in a week.

Slowly she grew sicker,

Stuck to her bed,

She gathered her children,

And to them she said:

'I am so proud of you all,

You always did good,

You never spoke words in anger,

Even when you could,

You always helped at home,

You were kind to friends,

But now I must tell you,

That everything ends.

I don't have long left,

You'll miss me, I know,

It's a hard time for you,

But from this you'll grow.

Days later she died,

Surrounded by love,

Doctors rushed to her,

Shouting commands form above.

No one could save her,

The disease was too strong,

The family broke down,

They'd waited too long.
