The lights on the tree,
A kiss under the stars,
A time for love and hope,
A day that's fully ours,
We had the world in our hands,
What did we do?
We took the town by storm,
Just me and you.
Under the flickering bulbs,
That used to shine so bright,
Live the faded remains,
Of a cold winters night.
