It was Just another Day at the Jedi Temple, 16 year old Anakin skywalker had been excelling with all of his lessons, and had been accepted as Obi Wan Kenobi's Padawan learner before he had even begun his training at the temple, A promise had been made to him by both Obi Wan and his Master Qui-Gon Jin to him on Tatooine and then reaffirmed not only on Coruscant but as well as the planet of Naboo after Qui-Gon had been killed by Darth Maul a Sith apprentice. So it had been settled Anakin would be trained as a Jedi, and ever since then he worked harder then any other Padawan learner to be the best and prove not only to himself but everyone else he deserved to be there and he deserved to be respected and given responsibilities, of a Jedi not only that but he wanted the trust of the Jedi council he sensed that they did not fully trust him, and he desperately wanted to change that. Anakin hoped that if todays lesson went well he would earn that trust, or at least make it easier for them to trust him; he hoped that it would be enough, it had to be.

"Anakin, Anakin NO!" Obi Wan Kenobi yelled at his young apprentice, they were working on a training mission in the Jedi Temple in Coruscant and Anakin was about to walk right into a trap. decoy droid soldiers stormed out of the corridors into the vacant room in which both Obi Wan and Anakin stood.

"Freeze Jedi, Put your hands up Don't Move."  a Droid Sergeant said, the Jedi stood still muscles tensing all senses put on alert... Anakin knew he messed up he had not listened to Obi Wan his Jedi master, mentor and friend. turning his head ever so slightly, so only his eyes could make contact with Obi Wan's they exchanged a look they then knew what they had to do. In a split second they both had drawn their light sabers and turned to attack the droids; the droids fired their blaster rifles, Anakin dove out of the way using his brilliantly blue light saber to deflect the blasts from the droids back at them, they broke into pieces and more droids came this time Obi Wan struck swinging his saber majestically at the droids cutting thier heads off. Without even having to verbally communicate both Anakin and Obi Wan worked together as one, To outsiders it seemed to be as if the young Jedi and his master already knew where each other were and what they were thinking, they moved with such grace and fluidity, which is to be expected they were Jedi of course.

Two Hours went by and the training mission was over, it was time for thier evaluation by the Jedi Council. Anakin stood in the center of the room before the council nervous, he knew he would get lectured for not listening to Obi Wan and springing the "trap". He also knew that they were sitting there reading his thoughts. Stay calm he told himself keep your composure stay in control, don't give them a reason to not trust you. A few minutes of silence felt like a few hours, that's when Master Windu cleared his throat and finally spoke:

" You did very well young Skywalker, however you need to be mindful of not only your thoughts but you must remember to control your impulsiveness, Obi Wan tried to warn you of a trap yet you set it off anyway. Although like I had said you did do very well and the council agrees with me that here at the temple you will be given more individual traning, as well as harder and more complicated lessons with Obi Wan." Upon Master Windu's completion of his review a huge wave of relief swept over Anakin and he couldn't help but smile as he spoke "Thank you Master Windu, Thank you Obi Wan, I won't fail you and I won't let the council down." with that he bowed and exited the room, anxious but also thrilled for what was in store for him. Anakin went back down to his chamber in the temple to do some meditation and to wait for Obi Wan's instructions as to what they were to do next, he couldn't help himself but sometimes he found himself thinking about Padme, the Queen of Naboo he had met her almost six years ago when Obi Wan was still a Jedi Apprentice of Qui-Gon Jin; often he wondered how she was doing, if she missed him as much as he missed her, but he knew that his thoughts couldn't linger or dwell for too long it could lead him to a dangerous place, a place he knew he could not let his mind go.

"Be careful of your thoughts Anakin for they can betray you." Obi Wan spoke as he entered Anakin's chamber. Startled Anakin snapped out of his own thoughts and jumped up off the meditation mat that he was sitting on, stuttering while he spoke " Master, I.. I... I'm I uh." Obi Wan smiled and raised a hand as if to tell Anakin to stop attempting to speak, "It is alright Anakin, I know you and Padme were very close it is understandable to hope that she is doing well in life. but remember to always be mindful of how long you let you mind wander and your thoughts linger."  Anakin nooded his head in agreement listening and taking mental notes on everything Obi Wan was saying, he would not make that mistake again. waiting for his mentor to speak again Anakin stood ready for whatever lesson or words of knowledge to be passed on, Instead Obi Wan motioned for Anakin to follow him; Grabbing his cloak Aanakin left his chamber following closely behind his master, wondering what was in store for him, what the next mission would be or if he really was ready for whatever the council would start throwing his way.

Whatever fears Anakin may of had he quickly pushed them out of his mind as both he and Obi Wan stood in the hangar bay of the Jedi Temple, Obi Wan looked around found Masters Windu and Yoda and proceeded to stride over to him, turning around to make sure Anakin was still following him. As both Obi Wan and Anakin approached the two Jedi Masters it was Yoda who spoke. Yoda was the most powerful Jedi Anakin had ever known and probably would ever know, the little green creature was maybe only three feet tall at most but he was powerful and very skilled in every aspect of the Jedi Arts. Waiting untill he was sure both Obi Wan and Anakin had thier full attention on him he stared up at them, and then continued to speak "trouble there is on the planet of Delya in the Alderaan System, certain are we."  Master Windu nodded his head in agreement and then spoke, "Obi Wan you and young Skywalker will go be subtle and observant figure out what the threat is and if it is directly related to the Separatist movement, or if this is threat is purely random."  Obi Wan stood silent and listened intently to the words that came from the mouths of two great Jedi, Anakin Nodded his head to say that he understood and Obi Wan then spoke. "Yes masters we will keep tabs and determine an appropriate course of action we shall contact you with updates when possible." Just as both Obi Wan and Anakin were about to turn and walk off towards a transport, Master Windu spoke again, "Gentlemen may the force be with you." Obi Wan bowed as if to say he was greatful for the words of wisdom and the blessing given to him by Master Windu, he then hurried off to catch up to Anakin; they had a long trip a head of them and he knew that Anakin would need a small bit of coaching prior to landing at thier destination.

Boarding the transport ship Anakin felt a pit of nervous excitement in his stomach, this would be his fifth time going on an assignment with Obi Wan this year his twentieth time over all, each time they went on an assignment he felt thier bonds as freind and mentor grow stronger; Anakin viewed Obi Wan as a father and any chance he got to show him how much he's learned he took it with pleasure and a smile on his face, as he and Obi Wan found seats and sat down Anakin couldn't help but wonder what exactly they'd be doing how dangerous this mission would really be, he knew he must not worry he was ready and the council knew it too, every time they selected him to go out with Obi Wan, but still this time he could not shake the feeling of darkness that something was very wrong, and that was something he didn't want to be right about. Obi Wan sensing the distress turned and placed a hand on his apprentices' arm and spoke quietly so no one could listen in: "Concentrate take a deep breath and focus, keep your mind on the task we have at hand the rest is going to fall into place."  Listening to every single word his mentor spoke Anakin tried to shake the dark feeling he had, and hoped that this feeling would come to pass the mission and his own peace of mind depended on it.
