i never would have imagined
that black suited you ;
it seems
so harsh
against your pale skin
and it
matches
your dark hair
and deep eyes
too well.
but mourning
means the whole world
dresses up in their
finest black
dresses and suits
and wear their tears
on their cheeks.
and so
you wear
a black suit,
with a dark tie
and shoes,
and it looks like
all this darkness
is draining you
of the
light.
red used to be
your color ;
passionate,
energetic,
and ambitious.
but wearing
something bright
doesn't seem
to match
the despairing mood
of the crowd.
no, only
black
suits
despair.
black is the
colour of
death,
decay,
and destruction.
it is the colour
of
the deceased,
the mourners,
and the soulless.
now i see,
black truly
wears you best.
