"So you won't publish it?" I watch carefully as he pushes the empty whiskey glass to the edge of the table.

"I was never planning to, Amara. I just wanted to see you again and I may have used the prince to get to you, but you would have been the one who'd end up in the spotlight, not him and I'd never do that to you. I'm a shitty person and I've done some very shitty things, but you're still my sister. "

"I get that, Bobby, but if this got out you could have ruined him and that honestly would have hurt me much more. Him being happy is important to me."

"I figured as much, you wouldn't be here otherwise." He pauses for a second as his eyes travel over the newspaper in front of him, he focuses on my face as the picture draws out. "But he can't give you a future, Amara and I think you need to decide what you want to do. Because I'm not the only one with tabs on the prince and unlike me, they won't trash this story. You either leave him now or keep being his mistress, but you're still going to end up getting hurt in the end. "

Lost in thought I aimlessly head into the palace, Bobby's words messing with my head as I think of tomorrow and what'll happen after the coronation.

"Crises averted ?" Marie suddenly asks between breaths as she places a flower vase on the table in the foyer and I realize I was mindlessly heading to the kitchen. Of course, my subconscious immediately goes for the place with coffee. Barely getting a second to reply I wait for Marie to finish the task at hand. People are rushing around trying to get the last details perfect before the arrival of the remaining royal family, which by pure luck was extended for an hour later. Marie randomly hands me the old vase and starts walking again. Without hesitation I end up following her, knowing that eventually, she'll expect a reply from me.

"Yes, do you know where Xavier is?" We stop briefly as a group of interns and servers corner Marie in the main hall.

"He is meeting with the family adviser before the conference, why?" She signs a paper that one of the servers shoved into her hands, probably another food delivery that Max was too busy to even look at.

"I just wanted to talk to him about something. Oh and thank you for not freaking out about Xavier and me." She smiles as I place the vase with dying flowers on the piano, she'll probably order someone to move it after I leave.

"I told you, Amara, you're special and I knew that Xavier would see it as well." She turns to leave again and I'm sort of thankful, seeing as I had no clue how I should reply to that.

With Marie's words in the air and Bobby's words still spinning in my mind, I make my way to my room. I slouch down at the desk and grab my notebook from the drawer. Frustrated by myself, I look down at the pen and paper that's currently and accidentally taunting me. I never thought I'd ever even think this, let alone admit it, but Bobby was right. Xavier deserves more than a planned marriage and I guess I deserve to be more than the other woman. But even with that in mind, it doesn't change the fact that tomorrow is going to be so very hard to do. Because it's still Xavier.
