Enchanted

Two Meetings Today.

  
    Jason....
Its not daylight yet but am wide awake in bed. I've been so for the past half an hour,tossing and turning in bed memories of the conversation with mother from last night replaying in my head.

They couldn't force marriage on me...yes. But i had seen first hand the implications of an interim government...people treated it like a democracy,unlike when an alpha has total control,the people starts questioning the government.
Truly a crisis was looming if I didn't step up and rule.

I got off my bed and hit the training field, Ravius had requested I come early. Two guards were there already,upon seeing me they bow in greeting..a respect given only to the alpha. I spot Ravius at the end of the field and walk to meet him.

"Morning Ravius"i greet upon reaching him.

"Good morning sire"he replies
"I thought we agreed to keep it at first names"i come to a stop.

"Yes we did...but you can't avoid it forever Jason. its part of you now"he throws something like a vest at me.
Catching it i ask.

"What is this?? and what are we doing??"

"That is a bullet proof vest...of course you don't need it but it will help avoid injuries"

"What injuries??and what are we doing?"i ask,repeating my second question.
"Well...the injury from a bullet wound...And today we work on your speed by teaching you to Dodge a bullet"

"The fuck..that's not even possible not even for a werewolf"

"Not for an ordinary werewolf...no, we can't do that....but for an alpha...probably"he states while loading the pistol he just produced from a bag with bullets.

  Am still silent.
"In case your wondering if its possible,yes it's possible... I watched your father do it countless times"

"Now you might wanna walk a few yards back...and put on the vest if you don't want to feel your first bullet wound"
I walk about 30yards out putting on the vest.

"Now what?"i shout to Ravius.
"Dodge as many bullets as fast as you can"he says

"Though i should warn you,the vest only stops the bullet not the pain"
With that he fires the first shot at me...

I'm in my room after the early morning training...or target practice,since i only managed to Dodge 2 out of 50 shots. Ravius didn't really give any helpful instruction,so i had to figure on my own that with eyesight as good as mine i could see the bullet a few metres before it hit me,and with my alpha speed i could Dodge it perfectly. It took me quite sometime to realize this and put it into effect.

Am preparing for an important event today. Once every month,a week to full moon,the alpha's of each pack meets to talk and assure the human factions that werewolves of their respective packs would be kept in check on the night of the full moon.

Werewolf existence was not totally hidden,the heads of government of the humans knew of our existence and swore an oath of secrecy till death. meaning even if they left power,they would maintain the oath.

   The Human Faction was a small group of only human leaders,they knew of our existence and had taken the oath. They paid tributaries to the werewolf packs in their states to maintain the peace in the state and for werewolves to be discrete in their actions.

Today's meeting was different, unlike the usual meeting with just the governor,this meeting involved all governors and alphas in the country.

Such meetings took place once every four years and it meant I'll get to be in the same room for the first time with the alpha who killed my father...only i don't know who it was.
