I watched as you relived your worst memories.
As you let yourself feel all the pain he used to make you feel.
The way your body would flinch as you spoke about each hit as though he was doing it to you all over again.
The police said you were brave to come forward.
They told you that this evidence was crucial for his trail.
When you asked how long he could get I knew the tears that ran down your face were ones of happiness.
25 to life.
It couldn't get any better than that.
