from january on, things between the band only got better. molly finally met stuart on a cool, rainy april saturday morning.

they were playing a small show in upper liverpool and had invited her to come. she, of course, accepted with the exception of leaving a bit early because her mother wanted her home before eleven.

"c'mon! it'll be fun, y'know," paul tried to persuade her to stay past eleven. "i'll even have a good chat with yer' mum, mary!"

"paul," she rolled her eyes. "i really do hate to be a goodie-two-shoes, but i cannot stay out past eleven! i'm sorry."

thankfully, she and paul stayed friends after he broke up with her. nonetheless, she still could never forgive him for being her first heartbreak.

everyone was downstairs, practicing at their drummer, tommy's house. paul sighed and waved to george to try and persuade her. he only shrugged with wide eyes.

"hey, how come i can't bring my girlfriend to practice but she can be here?" tommy interrupted.

john's head snapped towards him with an intense glare. "shuddup', will 'ya? molly's different!"

"yeah, we've know each other since secondary school," george said defensively.

paul nodded along with a frown. "she stole my sandwich the first time i met her, though..." he sighed.

everyone stared at paul for a good five seconds after his comment before resuming their work. molly sat back and watched as the boys went into their songs and practiced them over and over.

after about an hour of this, when it was around mid-afternoon, she decided to be nice and make the boys lunch.

"tommy, where's your pantry?" she asked while going upstairs.

tommy paused from drumming and shouted, "it's uh... upstairs, but i wouldn't go without someone. my step-mom is bonkers,"

"i'll go with her,"

to molly's shock, it was the bassist, stuart. "okay," she stammered. if she was being honest, stuart was mildly attractive.

but, he had a girlfriend. and he was way older than her. "right this way," he said, leading her up the stairs politely.

"thanks," she hesitated. he smiled and nodded as they entered the small pantry. molly noticed he closed the door behind him, but she shrugged it off.

"what are we hungry for?" she pondered. "i think i want some pretzels,"

"i could go for a sandwich right about now..." stuart said as if molly was clueless.

she rolled her eyes, saying, "do you want me to make sandwiches for you all?"

he nodded eagerly like a puppy, scratching the back of his head.

"all you had to do was ask," she acknowledged.

stuart opened the pantry door and left her to make sandwiches. alone. he simply couldn't be bothered to wait for five sandwiches to be made.

so molly patiently made some ham sandwiches in about a minute or two. she muttered quietly about him being "ignorant" and "bland", but still kept cool.
