The whole school day was basically us trying to avoid the football team.

They were told yesterday that they will be spending the next three weeks with us.

And from what I heard...they weren't happy.

"They are going to kill us!" Sophie yells, as we walk into the studio.

"Who will?" Paige asks.

"The football players!" Sophie shouts "They are tall and-"

"50 pounds heavier than all of us!" I add.

Sophie nods and points to me, looking at Paige with wide eyes.

"What did Mrs. Hanna say?" Paige asks.

"Treat them like guests" Sophie and I mutter.

"So what are we going to do?" Paige asks.

"Treat them like guests and not monsters" Sophie mutters.

I laugh "Yeah I don't think I'll be able too"

"Why not?" Paige asks.

"Uhm hello? Will has been tormenting me since we were little, I can't be nice to that boy" I shake my head.

"Well you better be nice to him, Otherwise he'll drop you on your head" Paige states.

I give her a questioning look "What?"

"Mrs. Hanna has you and him together for partner work" Paige explains.

My mouth drops.

"No, No, No, No! You have to change it!" I state.

"I can't! Mrs. Hanna said that the football coach has seen you two in the hallways, you guys are the two who don't get along the most, so you have to learn how to trust each other" Paige explains "Now get into studio A, You have a private with Mrs. Hanna"

I sigh and walk to the changing room.

"Ava is doomed" Sophie says, as we get inside.

"Soph!" I snap.

"Why?" Mason asks.

"We are doing partner work one of these weeks, and we wont have our normal Pas de Deux partners" Sophie explains.

"Then who?" Makayla asks.

"The football players" Sophie explains.

"Ava! Lets go!" Mrs. Hanna says, appearing in the studio A doorway.

I nod, slipping off my sweatpants to reveal my leotard and shorts.

I grab my shoes and rush into the studio.

"Your solo is musical theater" Mrs. Hanna says.

I smile.

I loved playing characters in dances.

"You will be dancing to Home from Beetlejuice the musical" Mrs. Hanna smiles "It's a very pretty song and I believe you'll love this dance enough to pick it for spring recital"

The spring recital was a performance we put on every year to showcase our best and favorite dances.

The junior team picks their favorite solo and preforms it.

Mrs. Hanna starts teaching the dance to me so I could mark it.

Apparently I had a prop, it was a gravestone.

We were using a chair for it right now though.

"Those turns need to be sharp!" Mrs. Hanna yells.
