My eyes open and my body is hit with a wave of pain.

I look at the clock.

5 Am

It's Saturday too.

My call time wasn't till ten either.

Knowing I wouldn't fall back asleep, I crawl out of bed.

I slip on my warm up booties and wrap myself in a blanket.

I grab my phone and walk out of my room.

"Then maybe we should!" I hear a voice say.

I walk over to the landing and see Paige and Ryder in the kitchen.

"Is that really what you want?" Paige asks.

Ryder sighs, running his hand over his face "I don't know"

I make my way quietly down the stairs and sit down.

"What do you mean you don't know?" Paige asks.

"It means I don't know!" Ryder whisper shouts.

I could see tears welling up in Paiges eyes "What the hell changed"

"Paige I-"

Paige makes her way to the door, grabbing her jacket, tears slipping down her face.

She storms outside and I hear her car roar out of the drive-way.

I peer around the corner to the kitchen and see Ryder.

His face is red with anger, causing him to sweep a vase holding flowers down.

I jump as the vase crashes to the ground, shattering into a million pieces.

Ryder looks up seeing me peering around the corner.

I quickly go back around the corner and start tip toeing upstairs.

"Ava?" Ryder asks.

I sigh, walking around the corner "Yeah?"

"Did we wake you up?" He asks.

"No, But I heard everything...Well the last part" I shrug, dropping the blanket and going to grab the dust pan and broom "This was moms favorite vase"

"Shit" Ryder mutters.

"What happened?" I ask.

"I um got a job down in Chanhassen" Ryder explains "And Paige wants to stay here, the job is just for a year, so I suggested pushing our wedding back"

I nod "And Paige didn't like that idea?"

"Of course not! She hates all my ideas!" Ryder states.

I clean up the glass, putting it in the trash "Or maybe she just doesn't want to be in a long distance relationship?"

"It isn't that long" Ryder scoffs.

"Two hours can seem long when that's how far away the person you love is" I state.

Ryder sighs "I feel like a douche"

"You should" I shrug "The girl is always right"

"What the hell am I going to do?" He asks, sitting on the floor.

I go and sit next to him "I have an idea"

He looks at me and smiles wrapping a arm around me"Lets do this thing" ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
