-Jasper's POV-
I'm watching Paw Patrol, and I am a little sad as it's on commercial break. "Happy Fourth of July, from your friends at Nick." I've never heard of this before, I wonder what it is... maybe I'll go ask daddy if he knows.
"Daddy?"
"Yes, my little prince?"
"What's Fourth of July?"
" Well baby boy, Fourth of July is when our country gained independence from another country."
I stare at daddy for a minute, letting the words soak in before choosing my next words.
"That sounds incredibly boring daddy."
He stares at me dumbfounded for a second before grinning.
"Then let me show you something that isn't boring on this day." He says.
We get into the car, him strapping me into my car seat. Then we drive for a long time.
"Daddy are we there yet." I whine.
"Almost bud." He replies.
Later we get to a grassy field and we set up a picnic. I cuddle closer to daddy as it gets darker outside. Suddenly I hear a loud "boom" and pretty colors light up the sky. I watch in amazement.
"These are called fireworks Jasper." Daddy announces.
I watch in awe the rest of the night until I fall asleep.
