"Shiah" I heard somebody call me as I walked down the hallway. I turn around to see it was, I kept walking ..
"Ashiah" she called my name again as she caught up with me
"What?" I stopped and looked at her, I was frustrated and ain't wanna be bothered with her
"Why you acting like that?"
"Cause I'm hungry and ian in the mood" she sucked her teeth and rolled her eyes
"Okay, it's lunch so you finna eat. I'm finna go to Zaxbys with Aubree and Keyla, you wanna come?"
No.
"No"
"Girl you doing too much, ion know who put you in yo' feelings but you need to control who you got a attitude with"
I looked at her one last time before walking off to the cafeteria. I'm learning to stop giving people my time and energy.
Walking in the cafeteria I made my way to the table I sit at everyday with Kentrell and everybody else. I sat down in between Kentrell and Kd ugly ass
"You straight?" Ben asked as he played around in the cafeteria food
Instead of responding I just stared at him
"helloo" he waved his hand in my face and I slapped it out my way .
"Shiah" Kd tapped my shoulder, and I looked at him from the corner of my eye
"Kentrell" Ben said looking at him, he only did that because cause he knew I was gone answer Kentrell
"Poota?" Kentrell called, I looked at him "what's wrong?"
"Nothing"
"Stop lying, you know I can tell when you lying"
I shrugged not saying nothing, he just left it alone but I know he was gone bring it up later
Lunch passed and I went on with the day til it was time to go home. I got home and put my stuff down and went straight to the kitchen
"What you digging in?" my momma asked looking at me. Why?
"Nothing I'm getting something to eat" I told her as I sat the bowl of pasta on the counter
"I told yo' ass you better start eating that school lunch. You ain't Hollywood, you ain't too cool to eat that food"
I mugged her, she got the wrong person
"And I told you I wasn't eating that nasty shit, you steady tryna talk me into eating it"
"Ashiah, you better watch who you talking to" Ian say nothing back, instead I just got a bowl from out the cabinet "and get this book sack from off my couch"
She walked out the kitchen and I finished fixing my food before going upstairs to my room. Soon as I sat on my bed my phone started ringing
