'Fuck it'

"Fuck it" I said ripping a blank piece of paper from a notebook I brought
I grabbed the pen and wrote the date at the top right corner. I looked up to see Ashiah staring at me
"what?" she shook her head
"So you really not gone come back to school?" She asked
"I'm not going back to school cause it's pointless. It ain't gone get me nowhere" I told her for the millionth time
She always worried bout something
"so you just gone keep trapping?"
"For right now and when this rapping shit take off ima Stop" she looked at me like I was slow and I laughed
"Kent —" I cut her off cause she starting to irritate me
"Poota, Stop. Stop worrying damn, I'm gone be aight. I promise you if you just sit back and watch you gone realize I know what I'm doing"
I picked up my blunt and lit it up before putting it to my lips and inhaling the smoke in and letting it out
"what, why you keep looking at me like that?" I asked her. She shrugged
I finished smoking my blunt before we left the hotel room and went back to Poota house
"Kentrell how you doing?" Poota momma asked me as we broke our hug
"I'm good" I told her and she nodded
"that's good, well whenever y'all wanna come down and eat y'all can" she said before we went upstairs
"I'm tired as fuck" I said throwing myself on Poota bed as she was rambling around the room doing stuff
She finally came and sat down on the bed
"why you keep looking at me like that Ashiah?"
"you sure you okay?" she asked
"that's what this about?" I asked looking confused "I told you I was straight. I'm good, so stop allat' worrying"
"But I'm suppose to"
"No, no you ain't" i said rubbing my hand down my face. She scrunched her face up
"I am, I don't give a fuck bout none of that shit you talking bout" she got up and before she could get far I caught her arm
"Chill" I said pulling her closer making her stand in between my legs "if you want me to be honest I will. Yes, I am hurt by all this shit. From my past to now.. I'm hurt. I'm strong though
the only thing I need you to do is stay by my side like you always been doing. Don't change on me, promise you won't change on me" I said looking up at her
"I promise" she said, I could see the hurt in her eyes. She was feeling my pain, she was hurting for me
"And I promise ima get through this. Ima make a way and when I do ima leave Baton Rouge. Ian gone be able to do it without you being there with me. You the only air I breath, you my oxygen and I can't live without you "
"No matter what happens ian going nowhere. Ima be with you every step of the way" she said sounding like she wanted to cry
"thank you, that's all I need is yo' support" I said before pulling her completely down into my lap. A tear finally dropped from her eye .. I knew it was coming "Don't cry for me"
I wiped the tear and she started crying ever more. A few minutes later she stopped and I helped her get herself together to get in the shower
I got her clothes for her and turned her shower water on, and she got in. She finally came back out and got in the bed
"you straight?" I asked looking at her, and she nodded slowly
I looked at the time and it was getting late
"I'm finna go" I said getting up and she jumped up quick
"Can you stay?" She asked
"Ian got no clothes" I told her
"you left some clothes over here the last time you was over here. They in the bottom drawer" she pointed to the drawer
I walked over to it and opened it to see I had a couple of shirts, boxers, and some shorts in there. I pulled some out to go get in the shower
"I'm finna go get in the shower" I told her, I went and got a rag and towel before heading into the bathroom
I got in and washed up three times and got out. When I came back from out the bathroom Ashiah was sleep. I turned the light off and got in the bed beside her
"I love you" I said before kissing her cheek and laying down
