26. Oikawa - Insecure ♡

You looked in the mirror examining the shape of your body, trying to suck in the little amount of belly you had

you felt a little in disgust looking at your thighs

'did i gain weight?'

"(y/n)! Oikawa is waiting for you!" your mother called from downstairs making you jolt a bit rushing to take out one of your many over sized hoodies and slipping it on quickly and fast walked down the stairs

you waved to your mother as she handed you and apple to eat on the way

you were stood in front of your best friend oikawa.

"again wearing a hoodie (y/n)-chan?" he spoke in a disappointing tone,

no matter how hard you tried you could just never take it off, you were insecure around others especially but with oikawa you weren't too comfortable but sometimes you did take your hoodie off when it was just the two of you

"isn't it hot today too?" he continued mumbling fanning himself with his hands

"well i just don't- have the confidence"

oikawa sighed looking at you, despite seeing how cute you looked in a giant hoodie that looked like you were getting sucked in the big cloth he really wanted you to feel comfortable around others and most importantly in your own skin, he loved seeing your smile and he would kill to see it every so often but you hated the way your chubby cheeks looked when you smiled

once entering the school oikawa was greeted by iwaizumi, giggling softly as they started play fighting and teasing each other

'these two boys don't change'

"oh wait (y/n)!" oikawa grabbed your shoulder just as you were about to walk away to your  home room

"can we uhm, meet at the rooftop for lunch?" he asked with a serious look which confused you

"oh sure, is iwa coming too?" you replied peeking behind him seeing iwaizumi talking to his girlfriend

"nope, he's having lunch with his girlfriend so it's just us, like the good old days" oikawa smiled widely at you

"alright..." you went silent for a second feeling oikawa's hand patting the top of your head

you had finally made it to the rooftop of the school admiring every other buildings that surrounded your school, looking out to big houses on the hills, sky scrapers and the tall communication towers

"yahoo (y/n)-chan i'm here!" you turned to see oikawa shutting the door behind him and walking over to a shaded area

"hey oikawa" you softly spoke

the both of you opened your bags to take out your lunch, oikawa's being full of proteins and important vitamins whilst you took out a single orange

"what?!" you head looked up at oikawa

"no no you're not eating that" oikawa took away your orange

"what why? that's my lunch oikawa!" you responded

"if you think eating less is going to make you skinny faster you're wrong, you just need to eat the right foods, so eat this!" he shoved another lunch box towards you, you looked up noticing that he had 2 bento boxes with him

he hated seeing you eating so little

"not gonna let you die of starvation so just take it already" he shoved the bento more towards you, slowly giving up you took the bento from his hands and finally opened it before you to see lots of healthy foods

you looked at oikawa who was just eating peacefully his own food, you looked back down at your food and started eating it

oikawa peeked towards you, seeing you taste every bite you took from the food, he smiled to himself.

Time passed, school was over finally and you and oikawa were walking home together while having conversations about other ways oikawa can tease iwaizumi when he's angry

"anyways, (y/n) you should eat proper meals"

"but i am"

"fyi a proper meal is NOT a single orange (y/n)-chan!"

"well... i'm just a little insecure if i gain weight and how my body looks"

oikawa stopped walking beside you, you stopped after a few steps and looked back at him

"oika-"

"(f/n)" you paused widening your eyes at the sudden call of your first name

"I've always cared for you, i want you to always be happy, i will listen to your prblems but i can't let you feel insecure, i could never...." oikawa was looking down at the ground

you stepped close to him

"i would do anything it takes to make you comfortable in your own skin, i don't care about how your body looks... i just care that you feel okay" he whispered the last part

you were standing right in front of him, you felt you heart beat faster as oikawa pulled you close and hugged you, your face was in his chest, you heard him sob a little

"please just let me help you heal (f/n)" he whispered close

you were overwhelmed, you never knew how much he cared, yet now that you looked back he was always there for you, listening to any worries you had or even just venting at little things, he would listen

you heart jumped when you felt an overwhelming amount of feelings wash over you, you hugged oikawa back tighter

"okay tooru, i'll accept that" you smiled against his breathing chest where you could hear the beat of his heart go faster when you said his name

♡ - oof a lil emotional there i nearly shed a tear but yeah this story and plot  was requested by @-waifu_material- , so thanks so much for the wonderful idea, i also just wanted to say that here in italy everyone is being locked in their homes cuz of the corona virus so now i defenately have A LOT of time to spend on my one shots and my todoroki book that comes out in a month, but yeah everyone plz be safe out there with this virus and take care of your self, if your schools are also closed then just spend sometime to your self and relax alright bye ! ;))
